~Now Recording~

"Good morning, 5 Seconds of Summer!" I yelled as I walked into the recording room with six cups of Starbucks coffee. Calum, who was sprawled out over three chair, groaned and threw his hands up.

Michael rubbed his face, obviously still asleep,

"Need...coffee," he yawned.

I put a cup in each of their hands and put one on the table for Markus while taking a sip of my own.

"What are we recording today, boys? New song? Old song? What's up?"

Ashton chuckled sleepily,

"Stop being a morning person."

Luke, after taking a large gulp of coffee, started to talk,

"We're recording a few songs today for some special event or something,"

I smiled widely, "Oh! What songs?"

Calum rose from his chair-bed and pulled a list out of his pocket,

"Let's see, there's Amnesia for the video, an acoustic version of Good Girls, and that should be it."

He fell back into his chairs and groaned,

"What is this life?"

Luke jumped out of his seat and smiled,

"C'mon, guys! Let's do this!"

I beamed at Luke,

"Yeah, guys! Get up and move!"

More groans came as the rest of the boys actually lifted their heads. About an hour and two more trips to Starbucks later, they were bouncing off the walls.

And Markus was no where to be found.

"We can't wait on him for forever, I'll handle recording, get ready." I say as I push them all into the recording booth. They put on their headphones and I pressed the button allowing them to hear me,

"Okay, we're gonna do Good Girls first, you know your parts...I hope. And...action!"

The instrumental music started and their voices started to fill my ears,

The song ended and we recorded a few of the others just before Markus finally walked through the door. He sat next to me as the boys got ready for their last song,

She said to me
Forget what you thought
'Cause good girls are bad girls that haven't been caught

"Carpenter-"

"My name is Violet. My last name is Carpenter, please use my first."

He let out an aggravated breath,

"Violet, there is something I've been debating, and I know you aren't going to like it, but it might happen."

"What's up?"

A small voice in the back of my head started speaking. It told me I was going to be fired, that I couldn't be the boys' assistant anymore, I'd loose my best friends.

"You might not be going on tour with us,"

I shot up out of my chair, "What? What do you mean? I have to go! They need my help! Michael needs help with his hair! I have to set up Ash's drums! Who's going to set up the speakers and make sure the guys are on time and bring them coffee?"

My voice was raising and I could see the guys looking at me through the glass. I knew they couldn't hear a word I was saying. I jabbed my index finger on the button and spoke into the mic,

"It's okay, guys. Do your thing, don't mind us." I hit the button to mute myself again before sitting back down, taking in a deep breath,

"Markus, please. They need my help. This is a big step for them, their last tour was hard without someone to keep them on their toes. Please, I have to go."

He rubbed his brow with his fingers,

"Fine, we'll ask the boys. If they say you're going, then I guess I have no choice, but if you mess up one single thing, you're gone."

A few minutes later, the four boys sat on the couch next to me. The closest to me, of course, was Ashton. He gave me a worried side glance as he put his arm on the back of the couch behind my head.

Markus looked at us sternly,

"Do you all need Violet's help on this tour?"

"Hell yeah!" Ashton immediately said, smiling at me, "We'd die without Vi."

Michael spoke next, "Yeah! She is a saint to us! We need her!"

The boys all started throwing in things I did or do for them, and it made me smile.

Markus rolled his eyes, "Fine, she'll go on the tour. But I want all four of you boys to understand, Violet is off limits. She will be having her own hotel room, she will have her own bunk on the bus, and you all will not be allowed to have any 'relation' with her. Am I clear?"

I could feel the top of Ashton's finger tap my shoulder slightly, not enough to draw attention to it.

They all nodded and he turned his attention to me, "And you will not do anything that might lead the boys to having some sort of relation with you, you are here as their assistant, not as their play-toy-"

"Hey," Luke snapped, "She isn't out play-toy, she's our friend! And our co-worker! She's just as important as we are!"

"And we would like you to treat her with a little more respect. Especially in front of me," Ash growled.

I moved my hand so my finger tip touch his side, I whispered,

"Ash, it's okay."

Markus rolled his eyes and stood, "I have some phone calls to make, Violet, I want you to get them ready for the video. We're leaving in two hours."

I nodded and stood with my friends,

"Let's go make you four gorgeous."
