Coming Home Part 4

Marinette's POV:

I went through some of my classes trying to pay attention, but when you have people constantly looking towards the back to look at you, it gets really frustrating.

When the bell rang, I packed all of my things a s quick as possible, and walked out the door, with everyone behind me. 

I went to the cafeteria to eat lunch but when I walked in, Everything became quiet, then the whispers started.

"Did you know that thats Marinette?", "Wait, Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"

"I can't believe that Marinette Dupain-Cheng is MDC!"

"She looks so hot now."

"Theres no way they're the same person."

"She's so famous now."

"I can't believe Lila lied about her."

"Oh my god, she has a boyfriend now remember." "OH YEAH! She's dating Damien Wayne!"

"She and Damien are so cute together."

Looks like the word spread about Marinette Dupain-Cheng being MDC. Next thing you know, its going to spread to the news stations and then the word. Just great. No matter how many whispers I could hear, I chose to ignore all of it. I decided to sit in the furthest corner, away from all the whispers and commotion.

I put all of my stuff and down and sat down. I pulled my lunch out and started eating it. I could feel all of the eyes on me. Watching me eat.

I need to do something. It's starting to get really creepy. I pulled my phone out and looked at the time and realized it was 1:32 pm, so Damien should still be awake.

I smiled and put my ear buds in. I went to the face time app and decided to call him. After a few rings, he picked up, and I could see him laying on his bed. Shirtless.

"Hey Angel. What are you doing right now, because I can see a lot of people behind you staring at you or me, I'm not sure."

I giggled and said, "Hey my demon. I'm actually eating lunch right now. You would not believe the shock on everyones faces when I told them my name. Honestly it was pretty Hilarious."

He chuckled and said, "So how has it been so far?"

I sighed and said, "Well, word spread around that Marinette Dupain-Cheng was MDC, so no everyone at the school knows who I am, and the worst part is the whispers. I can hear everything they say. I ignore it but I can feel the stares all the time.

And I'm pretty sure the rest of the students behind me staring at me could hear what I was saying, decided to turn back around.

I snickered and watched as Damien chuckled and said, "Well, I won't keep you from eating, so I'll see you soon Habibti.

Wait soon? But before I could say anything, he smirked and cut the call. I glared at my phone where Damien's face used to be.

Soon? What are you up to Demon? I smiled and went back to eating my food. After about 30 minutes I could feel the presence of people behind me. I turned around to be face to face with my old classmates. I internally groaned.

I wiped my mouth and fully turned around to face them and said, "What do you guys need?"

The entire Cafeteria had quietened down to see what would happen. The thing is I didn't know that they knew everything that had happened to cause me to leave. I didn't realize, but some people were videoing the scene.
