"I just want to know whether or not this bar stall is ever going to be vacant or if you're going to stay here the whole night." Matt Jackson confronted me as I sit with a few shot glasses in front on the bar. It had to have been a couple of hours since we arrived here and ever since then I sat in the corner staring into a non-existent world.
"(Y/N), it's going to get better and you're going to find someone else. Page loves this girl and I don't think he is going to leave her because they both seem happy." He reasoned not leaving my side to leave me in peace just yet and just when I thought about getting up, in walks Page with his new girl Kristy.
"Can I get another shot over here! You'll never guess what Matt. Each vodka shot has 40% of alcohol in it and because I've not even had four, that means I have to keep going so that way I can't remember tonight or the past week. This is vodka, it warms my heart." I pointed out showing Matt each of the small glasses in front of me. He finally gave up with a sigh and walked away leaving me to my own world.
The drink was poured and I immediately downed it, the burning sensation in the back of my throat becoming worse with each mouthful. Looking around slightly the men and women's division of Ring of Honor danced as well as chatted amongst themselves. I didn't fit in anywhere with the girls so The Elite took me under their wing and have been super helpful along the way.
It doesn't help that I fell for Page, the continuous flirting was evident and Matt told me that countless times. We were together 24/7 and became best of friends until he got with Kristy. She was the one ruining our friendship and if not, already broken it and made it disintegrate. Something that continues to bug me was the fact that he apparently liked me as well but we never made a move on each other.
"You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life!" The local band on the stage began to sing ABBA's most popular song of Dancing Queen making me jump out of my seat and into the dance floor. Kenny grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a twirl genuinely smiling towards me allowing me to do the same, the first in the entire night.
"See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen!" We both sang out as the song came to a close and immediately began to play Sweet Escape from Gwen Stefani. His arms enveloped my upper body into his large chest letting us sway to the music.
"You'll get over him, I know you can. You're stronger than anything going on inside that brain of yours." He murmured just loud enough for me to hear into my ear and I rested my head upon his chest once again. Other than Page, Kenny was someone who was by my side all of the time as well so it shocks me that I don't like him like that.
He has everything a girl would look for in a man. A body that seemed as though it was moulded by the gods. A smile that was irresistible and infectious with his perfect white teeth that sent waves throughout your body and many other features. But my mind was not drifting away from Page and in the back of my mind, I desperately wanted to talk to him again.
