Alvin wake up!

I was shook awake by my younger brother Theodore, "What do you want Theo, it's like.." I looked at my alarm clock with half closed eyes, "2 am."

"You remember my friend Levi from yesterday, right?" He asked

"Yeah..? What about him?" I rubbed my hands over my eyes

"He got into an accident in his way home when he was riding the bus!" Theo was tearing up, he was visibly shaking.

I sat up, now awake, "What, how?!" I asked. I had only just met Levi but I knew how important he was to Theo.

"The bus popped a tire and-" he started crying, "and the bus rolled- th- they said that it rolled into a ditch!" He was sobbing now, I had never seen my brother so vulnerable before.

I pulled him into hug, rubbing his back as he cried into my shoulder. "Do you need me to drive you to the hospital?" I asked.

"Yes please," his words were muffled from crying into my hoodie.

I stood up and Theo wiped his eyes, following behind me as we walked to my car. I got in the driver's seat, Theo went into the passenger side.

The car started and I left as quickly as possible for the hospital, Theo had stopped crying and was just sniffling. It pained me so much to hear my little brother cry, even for a good reason.

We pulled up to the hospital and quickly ran in, it wasn't too busy looking at the time. Theodore knew exactly where to go, the nurse over the phone probably told him what room Levi was in.

As we entered the room, we saw a presumably unconscious Levi, my heart aced. I looked at Theo who was clearly taken aback by the sight.

I reached over and put a hand on his shoulder, "I'll go get a nurse," Theo only nodded, trying not to cry.

I walked out of the room and spotted a nurse, I called her over, "hey I need a chair for me and my brother in room 117,"

"Oh of course, I'll be there in a second." She stated before walking off to grab some chairs. I headed back to the room. When I entered, Theo had begun tearing up again, he pulled me into a hug and I only hugged back.

"The nurse is bringing some chairs, it's going to be alright Theo," I said quietly. He started crying again.

I lightly pulled him over to the side of the room so we would have somewhere to sit in chairs. Just then the nurse entered with the chairs setting them down where we were just standing. "Sorry it took so long," she sighed, "I'll be on my way now, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask."

"Thank you." I whispered at her, still holding Theodore tightly. She walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.

"..Theo, you should sit down,"

My brother looked back up at me, I could see the exhaustion in his eyes. He only nodded and sat down, I followed after him. Right when I sat down next to him he leaned his head on my shoulder.

I pet his hair as he drifted off to sleep, I chuckled softly, my brother cared so much for his friend, and I would do anything to make sure he could.
