Well, this is an unceremonial and irregular update but I do these things every Friday night on my tumblr (essenceofheroism) when wonderful people send me a line and I write a short story that begins with that line. (It's funn, so you should come play some time) So I usually don't post these but last Friday I did this, and the wonderful Sue (skcolicity) sent me a line "Something tells me this is gonna be a long night." and quite a lot of people liked it so I thought I'd post it. Let me know if I should continue posting these on here or nah. <3

"Something tells me this is gonna be a long night."

"Hell yeah, it is," she snapped angrily back at Dig.

"At least longer than Oliver had hoped it would be.

Because you don’t get to just come back after you left for the second time, then tell me that you’re going to embark on a suicide mission, and then simply say “Goodnight, Felicity” like you just told me the most natural thing in the world,” she fixed her fiery gaze at Oliver’s face.

Fire licked her heart at the thought of losing him again but the absurdity of his plain converted it all into unstoppable wrath.

"Felicity.. this is natural for me now,” he said with his eyes scanning the floor.

"Yeah, I’m sure it is!" she laughed humourlessly. "Just like getting into bed with the man that killed and harmed so many you loved was natural. And now, saving his ass and getting yourself killed by the master assasin who shoved a damned sword into you a couple months ago is natural too.” Felicity’s voice shook with anger as her fingers dug in her flesh.

"I have to go to Nanda Parbat to save Malcom for Thea."

"Thea hates Malcom."

"She needs him." Felicity was silent. All hope had sank. He wouldn’t stay even though his sister needed him more than the man he was getting himself killed for. She stared at him one last time. Trying to etch his face into her memory before he left this time, and probably never returned back.

"And I," she pushed past him as tears blurred her eyes

"needed you."
