Today I was looking through my notes and I found this. I'd written this as 3x20 jet-scene speculation and I know the episode's already aired, but I just felt like posting it anyway :P
This can kinda be a little filler fic until Warrior's Chapter 29:))
A muffled knocking on the door disturbed her. Irritated, Felicity knit her eyebrows together, though her eyes stayed shut. She groaned as sharp pangs of pain began to tease slowly as if she were filled with with pins and needles. She'd almost forgotten the knocking until it came again the next time. Slowly, she brought her blanket closer towards her face and brought herself to a sloppy sitting position.
"Come in," Felicity groaned slowly, voice thick with sleep.
"I'm sorry. I'll come in another time," Oliver apologized hesitantly.
A small smile traced it's way on her lips at his voice.
"Oh, it's you. Come in, Oliver."
"You were sleeping. I'll come later," he smiled regretfully.
"No, I'm fine," she reassured him.
He walked in the small room of the jet where Felicity was buried under the white covers. Felicity watched in amusement as his eyes scanned the room for something to sit on. The dank room of the jet was filled with a queen sized bed in the centre of the room with a small closet and bathroom.
"You can come in the bed with me," Felicity lightly laughed. Then stiffed. "I mean, to sit. With your shirt on. And pants. Completely dressed. Just sitting. Not doing anything else..," her petrified voice trailed off, bringing a breezy laugh to Oliver despite the circumstances. Felicity groaned. "It's the aspirin, I think. It's breaking down my already fragile filter." Oliver sat beside her knees, eyes trained on the floor.
"How are you?" he asked as his voice grew serious. They both knew what he was trying to communicate in those three simple words. It was more than just how she was right now, it was how she felt about what was going to happen. His dark eyes seared into hers as her light blues absorbed his wrath, his energy, his power.
Felicity moved her hand so that it found his warm, calloused one. Her fingers were so thin and nimble in his large and strong ones but that's what made them so beautiful; the contrast between them was like the sun and the moon. He burned wildly and she blazed with beauty. When his eyes met hers, he held them there as her thumb formed soft circles on his skin.
"Oliver, it'll be fine. You're not alone," she whispered. He inhaled, then reverted his eyes. "No, I was uh- talking about your concussion. You fainted when you hit the building when that police officer almost mishandled you. I wasn't going to bring you along to Nanda Parbat but we didn't have a backup protection plan for you. Dig and Lyla had ARGUS and their security. Roy would leave with Thea. I couldn't leave you with Palmer." She didn't fail to notice the irritation he was trying to cover under Ray's name.
"Yeah, and I'd be furious if you did," she said sternly.
"You were bleeding. Are you okay?" he asked quietly as anger built up in his jaw. His fingers moved to trace the bruise on her forehead. Something dark reflected in his eyes. Anger.
"This was my fault too. I'm—"
"Stop apologizing, Oliver. I wanted this. I never asked to be 'safe.' I just wanted to be with you." Oliver swallowed her words.
