Calvin's car pulls to the side of me.
I'm so exhausted. Calvin pushes open the passenger door.
"Skylar please get in." Calvin says in an almost a wimper. "I promise I wont hurt you.'
He looks sad. "I'll explain everything."
I take a deep breath. Even with his hands covered in blood and that look on his face. I couldn't help to fight the fact that everything about him was instantly alluring.
I cross my arms, "No." I say through a half sob.
"Skylar, I'm not playing." He says sternly. "Get into the fucking car."
"Or what??" I snap, "You're gonna shoot me!?"
Calvin throws open his car door and stalks around the front of the car and towards me.
I back up slowly. "Calvin stay away!"
"Skylar please." Calvin approaches me with his bloody hands raised in the air in surrender. "Can you just hear me out."
I take another two steps back. "Stay away from me!" I warn.
"Skylar."
"Calvin!"
He gets closer. My heart skips a beat and as adrenaline courses through my veins. I turn around and sprint off the road and into the woods.
"Skylar!!" Calvin runs after me.
No, no no. I run as fast as I can until my chest burns with exhaustion.
My foot gets stuck on a tree branch and I trip over myself.
Falling face first onto the cold ground.
Calvin hovers over me. I begin to panic.
"Please don't hurt me!"
He looks at me with a worried expression. He then kneels down to my side.
I shut my eyes in fear as I begin to shake.
I'm gonna die.
Calvin wraps his arms around me and I don't fight him. Instead, I wrap my arm around his neck and allow him to carry me back to his car.
I begin to silently pray in my head.
"Please just stay away from me."
