A loud crash of thunder rages in the sky. What follows is the gushing raindrops. Then, bolts of lightning fill the atmosphere.
"Ow- seriously!?"
"Damn it! The storm is too strong!" Gregory yelled as he used his coat as a cover against the rain.
"I guess it's time to go now, huh?" Oliver asked as he shielded himself against the rain with his arms.
"Yeah, of course! Just don't forget about your promise, okay?" Gregory grinned as he placed his coat over Oliver's head. "I'll let you borrow my coat. Bring it back to me once we see each other again!" He hurried across the grassland, and the rain consumed his trace as he blended with the mist.
Oliver hastens and returns to his bedroom as the rain streams down on his head. Panting, he struggles to climb back to his bedroom window, holding onto the wall's trimming. The rain then violently gushes on him, almost causing his grip to slip. Before he falls, he grasps the window sill and pulls his body against the storm.
Upon arriving inside his bedroom, Oliver quickly slid and locked the window. He dropped to the floor and panted. Afterwards, he switched his wet outfit to a dry one, leaving his damp clothes on the ground.
The ticking sounds of raindrops on the window caught Oliver's attention. Oliver slowly glanced outside. He then slowly approached the window and gazed at the stormy night sky.
Oliver looked at his palm, then glared at it momentarily. He then walked into the centre of his bedroom and marched in circles. He then stopped and closed his eyes as he sighed loudly.
Oliver slowly puts his hands together. Suddenly, a breeze summons inside the bedroom, hurling the papers on the table and the pillows from the bed. The wind howls as it brushes through Oliver's hair. Then, the sheets start to spin around Oliver like a tornado. When Oliver opens his eyes, the wind disappears, causing the debris to fall on the ground.
While breathing loudly, Oliver looks across the floor, seeing papers scattered everywhere. Instead of picking the items up by hand, he uses his wind power to carry the items, bringing them back to the table. Oliver then pauses as he looks at his palms with a broad grin.
Oliver sat on the floor with his legs crossed. He then outstretched his hands and placed his elbows on his knees. He closed his eyes again, and soil and sand began to summon from his hand. The elements overflowed and spilt onto the floor through the gaps of his fingers.
Oliver slowly peeked with his right eye. As he spotted the dirt and sand on his hands and knees, he smiled and stood up from the floor. Disgust kicked in as he gnashed his teeth, realizing earthy compounds were all over him. Oliver quickly snapped his fingers, and the elements vanished into thin air.
Afterwards, Oliver stood upright. He glared at his palm. Then, he took a slow, deep breath through his mouth.
Slightly anxious, Oliver gulps. Then, he closes his eyes and concentrates. He raises his hands, and fireballs ignite in mid-air. Then, he shut his palms, causing the fire to dance as it fades away.
Oliver's smile widens on his face as sweat drips from his forehead. He then wipes his face with his sleeves as he looks around his bedroom. Oliver stops as four candles on a table catch his attention.
Oliver closes his eyes as he deeply exhales through his mouth. Slowly, he raises a hand and snaps his finger. Then, the four candles on the table ignite in flames.
As he smiled, Oliver repeatedly snapped his finger, extinguishing and lighting the candle at his will. Every time it kindled, the fire grew until it swallowed every candle. The flashing red-orange flame glistened through the bedroom window.
Oliver stops and sees pots of decaying plants on the bookshelf. He slowly approaches it. Once he is nearer, he smirks and taps his finger on the leaf. It suddenly regenerates and turns green as its flowers grow and bloom.
Suddenly, a lightning bolt flashes through the sky with a clap of thunder. The sound and vision of the raging storm caught Oliver's attention. His body spun towards the window, and his eyes caught a long, steady glimpse of the outdoors, ravaged by the violent storm.
Slowly, Oliver walked and hopped on his bed. Then, he slid the window wide open. The wind suddenly faced him and blew into his face, making him wet. He quickly shut the window and embraced his legs, pondering his limit.
Determination fuels his courage. Oliver takes a deep breath and gathers his confidence. With his teeth clenched, he opens the window and slides it open.
The wind howls like a pack of starving wolves. The breeze enters Oliver's bedroom and blows off the lit candle. Then, raindrops splatter onto Oliver's bed, making his bedsheets damp.
Oliver fought the strong wind as his hand held onto the window frame. Then, he swung his other hand towards the sky. Oliver hoped for a change in the weather. However, there were no effects.
In disbelief, Oliver sighs and lowers his head. He closes his eyes. Suddenly, his mind reminisces about his friend, Gregory, and it sparks bold flames in his heart.
Oliver's memory motivated him to try again. With solid faith, Oliver shut his fist. Then, he swiftly swung his arm towards the sky.
Suddenly, the thunders became mute. The lightning bolts instantly vanished, and the rain stopped dropping from the sky, only leaving dark clouds. Everything drastically turned quiet as the spatting raindrops halted.
Oliver gasped as his jaw dropped. His smile formed between his ears, and his eyes glimmered like the shimmering stars. Oliver grinned as he gazed at the dim outdoors.
Oliver had to let the storm continue. He snapped his fingers, and the rain resumed. But, this time, the raindrop was lighter and faint without thunder and lightning.
After admiring the rainy sky, Oliver shuts the window gently. He then walks to the centre of his bedroom. He stares at his palms with a heavy breath, and his eyes sparkle.
"Wow..." Oliver grinned, staring at his palms.
