"She says it's a misunderstanding." I heard a voice state, a voice I had missed for years. "I don't know Brad. But she is high on pain medications, she is as high as a kite and yet she said those words." I kept my eyes closed as I was curious about what she would say. I did feel high, my mind did feel foggy, but I did have to commit to this role.
The realisation hit me that she said 'Brad'. Brad Jefferson was her husband, my father. He was one of the most powerful man in the world. He was the biggest rapper of our generation, and the son of the bassist of one of the biggest rock bands of the 80's. He had used all the money he had to start several businesses all around the world. He also dabbled in security. This combined with his marriage to my mother and the public interest in them, the influence he had, he was one of the most influential and powerful people in the world right now.
"I don't know what to do. I talked to the head of the legal team that is prosecuting them, but they said that she is probably suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. That once the medications wear off and once she has been with us for a bit, that she will start to tell the truth. He is counting on that; they want her to testify against them at the trial." I heard her state and if it would not give away that I was awake, I would smile. "But I don't want her to be a pawn in this stupid game that Jason and his leader friends are playing with the Locatlie government. She is my daughter and she has been taken away from me for way too long and I will not allow it unless she wants to." I heard her state and I smiled a bit proudly at that. "We are not going to mention it to her for at least the upcoming month. I don't want her to feel like she is just a pawn in some cold war stuff. She is a human being and she has probably suffered through immense trauma. I know. Yes. I know. I love you too. I first want to talk to her, but I want you here. Ask Bob if he can watch the girls."
Bob Davids was Brad's best friend. He was the drummer of the biggest band of the 21st century so far. His father was the singer of the band 'Treple' which Brad's father was the bassist of. But more importantly, he was the father of the current president of the united states. With how Ana, my mother, was talking I had this horrid feeling that Jason Davids and the American government was against this. "I think she would love to see you. She was really confused. I love you too, I'm going to hang up. She might wake up any moment. I love you." She said and I decided to stay put for a bit, to let her process everything. But at the same time, also not give her any suspicions of me having heard that conversation. After a while I opened my eyes and I let the light hit my eyes, they had to adjust. My arms were still tied up to the side, and I still had a pain in my shoulder.
"Where have I been hit?" I said, thinking I was speaking powerfully, but the way I was speaking, I sound like an idiot. My voice was raspy and I had this feeling my throat had been tubed. "How long have I been here?" I added as well.
"Honey, it's your mother next to you." She said very carefully and I turned my head to look at her. "A month ago, you were shot in your shoulder and in your chest. You lost loads of blood and were in a coma for a while. You are fine though. You are perfectly healthy."
"Where am I?" I then asked as I looked at her face, and it was such a familiar face, and yet I felt this horrid feeling in my stomach. I always had this feeling whenever I thought about my past life; this was because during the Process they had brainwashed and hardwired me to forget.
"You're in the UK. At a hospital, there is loads of protection here. You are safe now." She said and I frowned at that a bit.
"Why wouldn't I be safe before?" I asked as I blinked a couple of times. "I'm thirsty. Where is Hugo?" I whined as I closed my eyes a bit. I did actually feel these feelings, but I was also slightly playing this up.
"Here is a straw. Suck." She said and I sucked on it and the water hit my throat and it felt so fucking good. "You weren't safe before, according to an investigation the United States Government has started and has the support of from several countries around the world, the Locatlie government took you hostage when you were ten years old. You were married against your will at the age of 18 and have been with the three kings for a couple of years now. There was an attack from the United League, as they are calling themselves now, against the Locatlie kings. They wanted to separate you from the kings. They accidentally shot you instead of around you. But they got you here safe. You don't have to be afraid anymore."
