*Ellene Sparks*

We reached the Palace gates and let me tell you, it was magnificent, the walls were huge and the Golden color of the stones reflected the sun with extraordinary bliss.

As we passed the gates a guard asked us a few questions which kind of blurred in the background as my brother answered seeing I was busy admiring the view.

As we approached the heart of the palace, the grass fields are soo green even the largest of trees would shy just by looking at it. The stone steps were so well maintained and each had a golden lining making it reflect the sun. I wanna meet the architect who designed the place.

We stop in front of the grand steps and the guard askes us to follow him. Ian nods and we get out of the carriage. And the guard starts to climb the steps. Oh no

Tell me we are not going to climb the steps.

Hell, we are...

Just by the way I still hate these non-running shoes and dresses.

I pick up my peach dress a little and I start to walk forward, not trying to overthink it.

78..79...80.. I have a weird habit of counting my steps, get over it.

We finally reached the top and I have never felt this relieved before..
I really need to be more physically active.
When I look at my brother I am really annoyed, where my legs are tired from this climb, he did not even break a sweat, what does this guy eat?
"You know the answer to this Ellene," he said looking at me mocking my stupid existence.

You were thinking loudly.

Yay life...

The guard is still walking in front of us, without even looking back for even a minute. Like what if we were not there, he would never know.
I made a mental note to try this once.

The palace was gorgeous from inside just as it was from outside, you could see hundreds of guards, maids, workpeople just going about their work and very assured like they knew what they were doing.
Clearly, they did know as they kept this whole place up and running.

The guard led us to another fleet of stairs.

Not again

But these were probably half of what I already climbed. So I brace myself and climb again. I don't really have many stairs in my house so it's really rare that I climb.

As we were climbing I could see my brother tense a little like he knows where they are taking us. We reached a door where 2 guards in red cape uniforms stood guard. The person guiding us stopped and turned to face us.
"You will only go so far, boy," he said looking at my brother. He nodded and turned to me and he had worry in his eyes.
"I can't go in with you, as I suspected. Remember everything I told you and don't alienate them. Ok?" He whispered.
"Ok" I agreed under my breath.

The guard knocked on the door and a voice came "let her in". I recognized that voice from yesterday. It was Queen Celest.

I entered the room and god was it big.
It was imperial and the huge window poured a huge about of sunlight brightening the room. It was almost double the size of my whole house. There stood a huge bed decorated with numerous cushions and scented candles. The room smelled of vanilla and it was mesmerizing.
