Chapter 2
I look around for my friends but I couldn't find them in the crowd of so many people. I tried to push through but no one woulkd budge! By now I could hear screams from the centre of the circle, what were they doing?! Everyone was quiet so I couldn't rely on listening to their comments. All I could do was wait patiently for whatever was happening to stop...
Why weren't any teachers coming in to stop this?! Where were they?! It doesn't matter, everyone was starting to turn around and leave. They all pushed passed me as if I was just some branch off a tree that they could easily brush past. Rude. Finally everyone cleared and all that was left was Carol and some of her friends peering down at Serenity who was lying on the ground. I ran up to her and knelt down next to her. She looked fine, like all she did was trip or something. I looked up at Carol who was just watching.
"I'm gonna have to stop it there since we're in a school yard, but outside of school...you're gonna have to watch it." Carol spat at Serenity, as she started laughing with her friens as if this was some sort of joke. She really got on my nerves sometimes...no not sometimes, ALL the time!!!
"What's your problem Carol?! Why can't you just mind your own business and leave us all alone? It would do us all a favour!" I yelled at her before she could walk away.
She turned back around and just looked at me, "Simply because I don't do favours, and I don't like you, or any of your friends." She just stared at Serenity with a smirk on her face.
"What have we done to you?! We hardly even talk so how could we have ever done anything to you?!" I asked, controlling my anger.
Instead of answering, she just laughed quietly and walked away with her friends.
I turned back to Serenity and helped her up, "What happened?!" I asked curiously, wanting to hear everything.
Just then all my friends rushed up to us and helped Serenity get settled again.
"She started a rumor about me that I didn't like so I just went up to her and asked for answers, that's all, but she just wanted to create a big commotion, make the rumour spread even more throughout the school. I was stupid, I just helped her spread it even more!" Serenity began to walk with everyone to our hangout,
"Well I'm sure it will clear up soon, she;s spread so many rumours that were lies, everyone probably doesn't believe her anyway! What was the rumour though?" I stared Serenity in the eyes, desperate for an answer.
Just as she opened her mouth, ready to answer, the bell rang and interupted their conversation. Looks like it'll have to wait, and they all headed off into their separate directions to their classes.
"What stupid rumour could Carol have spread this time? And why was it about Serenity? What did she mean earlier? about continuing the fight outside of school? Surely she wasn't being serious...yeah, she wouldn't really stand up to anyone, she'd probably freak out about a broken nail!" I got lost in my thoughts and wasn't watching where I was going...
*Slam*
I had bumped into someone causing me to fall back onto the ground, "Oh I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching wh-" I looked up into his bright green orbs. I just stared at Harry, not knowing what I was doing.
"Uh, sorry about that, I didn't see you there." He held out his hand to help me up.
I took it and stood up, still staring into his eyes. "Thanks, No I'm sorry, I got distrac-"
":Hoooooonneeey! Stop talking to that loser and come over here for a kiss!!" Her high-pitched, annoying voice called out from behind me.
"hey, yeah, sorry about that, anyway I have to go, see ya!" He smiled and ran away, turning back to wave goodbye.
He was so kind yet he was going out with that...bitch! Why would he even want to be with somone like that,
"Be nice, it's just Zafira, she never did anything to you." Harry whisperedto Carol as he caught up to her.
"I don't care, don't talk to her, she's ugly." She snapped back, pulling him into a kiss.
I walked away, disgusted and headed off to my first class but as I entered the room there was a group of people holding up a camera, it looked like they were recording me, I looked around the room which was covered in pictures...pictures off....
