And I heard you're telling her about your dreams -those we both planned under the starry night during our first getaway together. And I know soon you will share with her the plans you wrote on your notepad even if it was me who gladly and proudly enumerated each. And that's okay. I'll allow you to match the colors of her clothes when you go out even if you'll wear the ones I bought you because you look exceptionally wonderful in light-toned colors. I'll allow you to tell her you wanted to live in an isolated place I introduced to you, how I convinced you to have a small hut near a beach and how I made you fall for how the sun beautifully dies every dusk. You are allowed to take her to your home and serve her the meal I taught you how to cook or bring her to your room I decorated myself and arranged the furniture with. I allow you to meet up with my friends who became yours as well or sing her the songs I saved on your playlist. I will let you recommend classic movies I told you were the best, or your poems I finished halfway and just pretend it was you who wrote all lines.
I will allow you to give her the chance to slowly replace my memories with new ones with her, even if she already arrived in your life while I was still there. I will slowly turn into a smoke of unworthy image you could no longer stare into, or let her rearrange your life until all my clinging remnants will be shoved under the carpet like some dirt. Let her rewrite the poems, or teach you such new things you will surely be eager to know. Let her bring you to another rip-roaring venture you've never experience because I easily get frightful. Let her slowly adjust to your habits until she become comfortable bringing in her own waves into your shore. Let her tell you sunrises are better than sunsets or living in a city is livelier than staying in touch with nature. Let her be the complete opposite of me until you could slowly let go of the past.
Be fair to her, be sincere, and take care of her. Be the ideal person I wished you were to me.
You lost me forever because you chose to commit to a betrayal I gave you the chance to change. So let her change your life into something better. Just love her more than you love me. Just love her until the world forgets she was once yours.
