"And then we came back to the apartment and she did this really cool thing with her legs," Bucky said while chewing on his french toast.
"Ugh I'm gonna stop you right there, Buck. I think I'm gonna be sick," I said pretending to gag on my breakfast. Bucky laughed and gave me a nudge in the ribs.
"Come on Liv, don't you want to hear all about my wonderful night?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows. I gave him a shove in response and rolled my eyes, continuing to eat my breakfast.
Sam looked up from his breakfast and said, "now the real question is, do you plan on making her Mrs. James Buchanan Barnes, because I think she seemed to be pretty intent on that this morning."
"Oh god no, quite honestly I don't plan on seeing her ever again," Bucky stated finishing the bacon on his plate.
"And you wonder why you're perpetually single," Steve responded with a shake of his head.
"Hey, just cause I'm not in a relationship doesn't mean I'm lonely, I've got no trouble getting the ladies and I'm in no rush to start a long-term relationship with one," Bucky finished.
The boys continued bickering with each other about what they did and didn't want out of life. If they wanted a relationship, or just a good old one night stand and whether they'd let the girl make them breakfast in the morning.
"To be honest, I think I just want Olivia to make breakfast for me for the rest of my days," Bucky said, pulling my attention towards the conversation. My stomach did a flip when I heard those words.
He's just making a joke, it doesn't mean anything. Stomach why the fuck are you acting like this... I thought to myself. I've heard Bucky say things like this at least once a week since we met almost nine years ago.

Nine Years Ago
It was my freshman year of college, the spring semester, I was taking an American history course as part of my curriculum to get my history degree. The second week of class the only spot available when I arrived was next to Sam. "This seat taken?" I asked Sam with a soft smile.
"Absolutely not, have a seat, we can talk about how boring this professor is," Sam replied with a wink. I sat next to him and we whispered throughout the entire class, barely paying any attention to the lesson that day. When class ended, Sam walked with me outside the building and towards the direction of my next class. "Where are you heading next?" he asked as we continued walking.
"Oh, I think it's in the Williams building, Intro to World Archaeology," I read off my phone.
"What a coincidence, that's where I'm heading to, looks like you and I are going to be study buddies this year. I'm Sam by the way, never really had time to introduce myself back in Professor Boring's class there," he said, extending a hand.
"Olivia, but my friends all call me Liv," I returned his handshake.
"Well Liv, what's your major? What year are you? What's your favorite color?" Sam asked jokingly as we made our way to Williams hall.
"History, freshman and blue," I said, not missing a beat, "I'm surprised you didn't ask for my zodiac sign."
"I was getting there," he said, wiggling his eyebrows.
I laughed at his goofiness and asked, "what about you, what's your major? What year are you? What's your favorite color?"
Sam laughed at the questions but answered, "Aerospace engineering, sophomore, green."
