Olivia's POV

The work week went by as normal. I went to work at the American Museum of Natural History. I worked in the archives department, playing around with centuries old artifacts. Spent most of my day just accessioning objects and working on helping set up our newest exhibit. Then at the end of the day I'd come home. Usually I'd make dinner but every now and then if I was lucky Bucky or Steve would chip in and make dinner or order some takeout. On Friday afternoon I was greeted to a surprise at work.

"Miller, you're needed down at guest services. I repeat, Miller to guest services," the voice of our front desk staff Michelle came over the walkie-talkie sitting on my desk, pulling me out of my deep research on current cultural resource practices. I started making my way through the maze that was my office and headed upstairs to guest services only to be greeted by a loud voice.

"For a second there Miller I thought you had completely ignored the lovely Michelle's call. I was about to go down to the labyrinth and find you myself." It was Bucky, leaning confidently on the side of the guest services desk as Michelle blushed slightly at his words. I rolled my eyes at the flirt of a man standing in front of me. He was dressed like he had just walked in from work. When he graduated from college Bucky had gotten a job in the city working with Tony at Stark Industries. Tony's dad Howard was in the process of retiring and he was planning on leaving the company to Tony, and Bucky was to be his right hand man.

"What are you doing here, Barnes?" I asked as I made my way up to the desk.

"Oh I just came to check out the Hall of Human Origins for the thousandth time, not see you. Definitely not that," he replied as a smirk graced his face.

"I don't know why you would want to see me Bucky Barnes considering you see me every day because I live with you," I responded while shaking my head.

"You're right, maybe I came to visit Michelle here," he said, turning his head at the blonde woman behind the desk. Michelle's cheeks flushed bright red at his words and I punched Bucky slightly on the arm.

"God, Buck. You don't have to flirt with my coworkers ya know, I don't want you to embarrass yourself in front of such a gorgeous woman," I said, wiggling my eyebrows at the two of them. Bucky just groaned and Michelle continued to blush. "Thanks for calling me, Michelle, I'll take him from here," I said, grabbing Bucky's hand and pulling him beside me.

"Alright, so really what are you doing here?" I asked as we made our way across the museum lobby.

"Well I really did come to visit you, its been a while since I've been down here and I got off work early so I figured I'd come hang out with you before we go home," he said with a shrug, following me down the hall towards my office. I shook my head in response as we continued down the hall.

"What, Tony let you off early?" I said as we made our way to my office, a crowded room full of archival boxes and various books.

"Actually, Howard did. His retirement party is in a couple weeks and we've been working overtime just to try and have everything ready for when he announces the official changes. You know, Tony taking over the CEO/President position and me taking over the VP spot," Bucky said with a small smile.

The casual way he dropped that in just a few weeks he'd be moving up to Vice President of Stark Industries made my jaw drop. "No fucking way. It's official? That's so much sooner than I thought, but congratulations, Buck!" I said, flinging myself into his arms and giving him a big bear hug. Bucky chuckled at the contact and returned the hug placing his face into my hair. I released him and moved a piece of hair that had fallen into my face behind my ear. "Sounds like you're buying drinks tonight," I joked poking his chest.
