Here's A Sincere Salute to You!

It feels weird to finally write a chapter without starting with a snowflake at the beginning, but now that Day-Lynx has run out of chapters, I guess there aren't any more snowflakes coming up. But anyway...

Day-Lynx is now completed at 40k words!

It's one crazy milestone for me. When I first wrote this book, I thought I would only reach the bare minimum of 26k+ words, which was the word count for my first completed story (also a previous ONC entry), Sinister. But now that the words soar far beyond my expectations, I feel like a proud hen. It's my second time completing a book, but it still feels as thrilling as the first one.

Maybe this time, I have the neverending pandemic to thank *sarcasm intended*

All that aside, I would like to thank you for reaching this chapter. Thank you for sticking with Rozell and me for twenty-one chapters. And throughout these 40k words. Also, thank you for joining him in this life-changing winter :D

I also want to thank you for stopping by. And for reading it this far. And for clicking the star all the way here, while leaving your comments in the chapters. Your support and constructive criticism also matter a lot to help me improve and all that. So thanks a bunch <3

It also makes my day to know that someone can relate to Rozell or understand him as much as I do. Honestly, he's the closest character I've ever written so far. And the one who teaches me a lot along the way. I hope he feels grateful that I—and the gods—didn't end up killing him in the last few chapters since the idea actually stuck with me through half of the book XD I surely am grateful that he ends up making it to the end.

Once again, thank you for joining me in this journey. Both of us sincerely hope the best for you after you leave this story, and hopefully, Rozell's tale can stick with you as much as it does with me. Wishing you a great personal journey ahead :D

Rozell's Note: I've never had a chapter reserved mainly for my own thoughts, so this note might feel a bit weird to read. But anyway, I share the author's gratitude above. Thanks a lot for being a part of this journey, thanks for spending some time to scroll over the pages, and thanks for sharing your thoughts along the way. Uh, and if there's anything you'd like to suggest to me or Grandpa for our wellbeing, then please don't hesitate to let us know. Or if you have some theories about the unanswered mysteries in this book, I would love to hear them as well since up to this day, the Chief keeps talking in riddles. Grandpa and I feel that our heads might blow up anytime soon.

I would also be thankful if any of you can lend the author a hand in putting one of my paintgraphs to life, since she doesn't seem to have enough brushes, papers (or screen), and paint to work with. And she's also missing her artistic skills over the years, so... uh, do let her know if you're interested :)

Author's Note:

A special thanks to @WolfeyeWinter5 for being the best writing and editing buddy in these 5 years. I couldn't ever get this far without you, bud :'D
(P. S. Do check out her stories as well. And she currently has 2 ONC 2021 entries: A Town of Darkness and Ominous. They're totally worth the read).

And also feel free to visit the next chapter if you're interested in some trivia or behind-the-scenes moments :)
