**For Context - This is an edited version of events from S2 Ep1/2 (Short Chapter)**
"We need to get out of here and home safe" Jefferson looked sternly at you. "I'm not helping that woman after what she's done to us." His face stormy.
"I know..." you sigh. You look at him and a worried Grace and realise your priorities are right in front of you. "Lets get out of here, I'm sure Emma and Mary Margret...I mean Snow... I mean... anyway, I'm sure they can handle it." You grab their hands and are about to leave the room when in bursts Regina, Emma, Snow and Charming.
"Oh what a lovely surprise" Regina eyes Jefferson and smiles sarcastically.
"Maybe you can help us get this working?" She puts Jeffersons hat on the floor.
"Not on your life Regina, I'm done helping you and having to suffer for it" he almost spits the words out at her.
"Please Jefferson, I know we all owe you an apology, I didn't believe you and I should have, but we could really use your help." Emma looks at you both hopefully.
"He'll help you get rid of the monster.... and then you leave us the hat...and alone for good we want to be left alone Regina." You try and stay as level voiced as you can .
"I'm not helping her.." you turn to face him as he point blank refuses.
"Please, we don't want this thing loose round here, please?" You stare into his eyes for a moments before he rolls his eyes lifting his head back.
"Fine." You and Grace smile.
"Knew you'd save the day Papa" he looked down and smiled warmly at Grace.
"Only for my girls... no one else" he looked up at Regina as he said it.
After setting up the room with candles and placing the hat in the middle of the floor, the air began to change again and the town went dark.
"Its here" Regina whispered.
Jefferson crouched on to the floor beside the hat and began to spin it.
"I don't know if there is enough magic in this world..." the hat was beginning to wobble but not nearly enough.
"Keep trying" Snow yelled as the sound of the wind got louder. Jefferson kept going till eventually a swirling portal of purple smoke began to appear out the hat.
"Still got it" he turned around and winked at you cockily. You can't help but smile despite being in quite a bit of danger. Suddenly the creature appears, screaming after a bit of tousling, you all manage to trick it into falling into the portal. Before you can get to celebrate, a light stretches out and grabs hold of Emma's leg pulling her in....
"No!!"
"I'm not loosing her again" Snow shouts towards Charming and with that follows her in.
"You need to stop that hat Jeff!" you shout over the noise. "We have to help them!" Still holding on to each other the three of you head towards the hat.
"I can't bring them in from this end!" He looks at you hopelessly.
"Well you'll just have to help them from inside" you hear a voice behind you as Regina pushes the three of you into the hat and you find yourself falling into a never ending hole once again.
