They question who we are
They don't believe our change of heart
Why can't they understand
We're here to help them stand
Why can't they see
The good in you and me
We save their lives
They shout back lies
We offer them a hand
They offer back demands
We give them smiles of hope
They give back anger and smoke
Don't they see we are here to do good
Why do they break us like flimsy wood
We won't last much longer
Our good deeds they squander
Something's gotta give
