The memories of Vernon kept coming, progressively getting worse as they went along.

Harry was fighting to keep a straight face, he had cried too many times already.

However, he let the dam break at the next memory.

Harry was in his cupboard.

He had just received a beating from Vernon, and he was in agony. It hurt to breathe, it hurt to move, it hurt to live.

He heard a knock on the door and his heart beat sped up.

"Oi freak! I'm coming in!" Dudley said loudly as he pulled the door open.

"H-hello Dudley." Harry said, Dudley had never really hurt him, he would just call him freak and stay away from him.

"Hello freak. I thought you should know something." He smirked.

"And that is?" Harry asked, quite nervously.

Dudley held out a mediocre sized blade in front of Harry's face, Harry's eyes widened, "this Harry, is yours."

"M-mine?" Harry gulped.

"Yes, my mate told me that people who are worthless and are strange hurt themselves, so, I brought you a blade so you could do it to yourself." Dudley laughed, "because, you know, you are a worthless freak."

Harry grabbed the blade from his had, "so, will this help with my 'freakiness'?"

"Well it would help the people around you." Dudley laughed again.

"Thanks Dudley!" Harry said with a smile, he was led to believe that maybe if he harmed himself with said blade he could become more tolerable and loveable.

"Anytime freak." Dudley smirked, "what an idiot." But Harry didn't hear the last part.

Dudley locked the cupboard up again, and left Harry in it.

Harry lifted up his sleeve and looked at his forearm. He thought it would be a good place to do it.

He put the blade in his right hand and didn't hesitate to drag it across his left arm.

He hissed in pain, but it was a sort of enjoyable pain. It made the emotional hurt go away, in made the loud voices in his head silence for a short period of time. It was lovely.

"Thanks Dudley." Harry whispered to himself.

Harry was sobbing, for what seemed like the millionth time in the space of a few days, he was sobbing again.

Draco put his arm around him in a comforting manner. "Oh Harry." He whispered to him.

Everyone else in the room had their heads down in sorrow, Hermione and Ron were blaming themselves for not noticing.

"Oh Harry, why didn't you mention this to me and Ron? We could have helped you!" Hermione cried.

Harry sobbed even more, not because of himself, but because he had made his two best friends blame themselves for something they shouldn't.

Ron hugged Hermione, squeezing her like a lifeline. They both needed comforting.

Draco and Harry pulled away from their hug, Draco still gripping Harry's hand.

"I am sorry I didn't tell anyone." He said shortly.

"Harry?" Pansy joined, "you don't still believe it, what Dudley said, right?"

"No, I don't, but it felt too good to stop. It is an addiction." Harry admitted.

"You said 'it is'." Blaise commented, "does that mean you still do it?"

Harry gulped, he didn't answer. Blaise took it as a yes.

"You still do it Harry?" Draco asked, his voice cracking slightly.

"I don't, I stop-" Harry was interrupted.

"DON'T LIE TO ME HARRY JAMES POTTER!" Draco shouted. Harry flinched back.

"I am n-"

"DON'T LIE!"

"STOP SHOUTING AT ME!" Harry cried out.

"Sorry, I was mad." Draco said, still annoyed.

"That doesn't give you the right." Harry swallowed his previous fear.

"Just," Draco sighed, "just answer the question honestly."

"Fine. Yes I do. Happy? Because I am not." Harry seethed.

Draco could not resist the urge to hug the boy he loved, he didn't know how much he went through. Harry hugged back.

Ginny and Luna watched the exchange between the two boys in complete confusion.

"Wow, you guys just went through a rollercoaster of emotions in the span of like three minutes." Luna snorted at Ginny's comment.

"It is the Nargles." Ginny smiled at Luna, "'Course it is babe."

"How old were you in that memory, Harry?" Neville asked.

"Erm... I think I was nine, almost ten, why?" Harry questioned.

"Well, you will get your Hogwarts letter soon then." He pointed out.

"Oh yeah, forgot about that." Harry smiled to himself, "probably one of the highlights of my life."

Draco looked at him, hurt evident in his face, "what about the day you and I got together?"

"Close second, Dray." Draco pouted and let go of Harry's hand, "I hate you."

"Oh, don't be like that Dray." Harry teased, kissing him on the forehead.

"You are lucky you are cute, Harry Potter." Draco said and kissed Harry on the nose. Harry smiled and they intertwined their hands.

"Ew." Pansy said, she had a disgusted look on her face.

"Just because you don't have anyone you can be like this with Parkinson, doesn't mean it is 'ew'." Draco said teasingly, Harry snickered slightly.

Pansy gasped at him, "how dare you Malfoy!"

"Alright, alright, that's enough." Hermione said, they stopped.

"It was fine 'Mione, just a bit of banter." Ron reassured her.

"That is how everything starts Ronald." She said, she was quite pissed off.

"You know what, I will shut my face now." Ron said, his hands in the air like he was surrendering.

"Good." Hermione spoke with a smirk.

The whole room laughed.

It felt nice to laugh.

Hopefully the laughter continues.
