Chapter 10. Goodbye

After the class trial, everyone made a run for it.

Monokuma: "lets see how far you can get, puhuhuhu!"

Logan: "I'll meet you guys at the speedboat, I need to see that note"

The others nod as Logan splits from the group and goes to his room. After getting it, he puts it in his pocket to read it later and was about to leave when suddenly, he saw Monokuma blocking the way out.

Monokuma's claws come out as he lunges at Logan. Logan quickly runs to a wall of his room and steps walks on it in true parkour fashion, escaping Monokuma while completely dodging his attack. He runs to meet up with the others and does so, but Monokuma doesn't make it easy for them as he runs after them still.

Monokuma: "no way I'm letting you get away that easy!"

Monokuma pulls out a rope and spins it in the air as he tosses it and grabs Logan. He begins to menacingly drag him closer but Asamoni tackles Monokuma last second.

Monokuma: "hey! Get off me!"

Asamoni: "go Logan! I'll hold him off!"

Logan: "are you crazy?! I'm not just gonna-"

Asamoni: "just go! I'll find another way off the island!"

Logan reluctantly gets on the speedboat.

Victor: "don't tell me we have to leave him behind!"

Crystal: "we have no choice. One of us has to stay behind to prevent Monokuma from going after the rest"

Logan: "it's fine. He said he was gonna find another way off the island, and I believe him"

Victor: "I guess I'll start the speed boat then"

Victor does start the speedboat and puts it on auto. They just needed to find other land other than the island after all. As Logan looked back, Monokuma and Asamoni were just gone, but he also sees the ghosts of those who died on the island waving goodbye at them. Logan was holding back his tears when he remembered the note. He pulled it out of his pocket and was surprised to see that it was from Yuki.

Logan: 'that's strange...why would he leave me a note'

He decides to read it anyway.

Yuki's Note:
Dear Logan, you may be wondering why I sent you this note when we never got along. I figured since your stay on the island was drawing closer, I should come clean. The truth is I said what I said and did what I did to get you all to hate me on purpose, it was all part of my plan. I suspected from the very beginning that there was a traitor, so I distanced myself from everyone. Now I know that you are not the traitor, for I have overhead Emily talking with Monokuma. There's no doubt she's the traitor, although you would already know this. After this next class trial, you'll be reading this and you would've already caught the killer. You're something else kid. I told Jasmine everything and she allowed me to kill her. I needed to convince Emily that I was truly capable of killing someone so that when I went to attack her, she would have to defend herself. So I chose to sacrifice my life in order for the traitor be caught and executed. If there was one thing I regretted, it was not getting to know you all more. I didn't want to grow any attachments since I didn't know who the traitor was, but if things hadn't turned out this way, perhaps we could've become great friends. I apologize for what I've said or done in the past, and so as a way make up for that, I have helped you escape the island feeling truly safe. I wish you and your remaining friends the best of luck out there and don't you ever forget those who lost their lives. From yours truly, Yuki.

Logan didn't realize it, but he had been crying as he read the note.

Logan: 'thank you Yuki...and Mia...I did it...I fulfilled my promise...'

Logan looks over to Victor and Crystal. The two had fallen asleep together with Crystal laying her head on Victor's shoulder. Logan smiles as he himself falls asleep...

Monokuma was in a secret room on the island. He hadn't come out much due to what he had been doing in there this whole time.

Monokuma: "well that was a bit disappointing. Hopefully this next killing game won't be as disappointing"

Asamoni mumbled as he was tied to a chair with a blindfold covering his eyes and mouth.

Monokuma: "oh, and I changed the name of the killing game too. Kill or be killed just doesn't hit anymore, you know?"

Asamoni just kept mumbling.

Monokuma: "so I was thinking, how about...Danganronpa?"

Although I did say this was the last book in the series, I was thinking of making some sort of spin off, kinda like Ultra Despair Girls. For now however, I need a break. That's all for now, peace!
