Outing

I let out a small moan (now don't get the wrong idea!) when I woke up. I looked at the window beside my bed. Why was it still dark? I looked at the the time, 4:47.

I was just about to go back to sleep when I heard my door creak. I looked at it. It was hanging open. I didn't really feel scared. Even if there was a burglar in the house, I could beat the crap out of him/her.

I got up from my comfy bed and headed to the door. Just as I was about to close it, I saw a dim light in my parent's bedroom.

I was taken over by curiosity. I walked to their room and got ahold of the doorknob. It was locked. I mentally cursed. I reached to my head and pulled out a bobby pin. I jammed it on the inside of the keyhole and jiggled it around. It then made a click! sound then it unlocked. I have a very useful skill, do you not agree?

Anyway, I opened the door as quietly as I can and I was shocked by what I saw.

Nothing.

Yup, all that hard work for nothing. I'd bet you thought that something was gonna happen, huh? Well, nothing happened. This is real life. Real life isn't as exciting and as thrilling as a movie. Life isn't a movie. Just wanted to get that out there.

Anyways, I went back to my room then slept like a dog.

When I woke up again, it was already past 8:00.

I sat up groggily then took out my iPod Touch. I scrolled through the news feed on Facebook. I can never get up fully after I wake up. I'm lazy that way.

A few minutes later, I finally got the energy to crawl off my bed and fall to the floor. I pulled myself up and fixed my bed.

After that, I went down for breakfast.

Mom and Dad wasn't there, probably still sleeping. They're heavy sleepers when they don't have work.

I ate hotdogs and rice for breakfast. When I finished eating, I put it on the sink.

I went back upstairs to my room. I saw my mom and dad watching TV in their room. Yes, we have TVs in our rooms.

I went inside,"Hey, mom! Dad!" I greeted.

I kissed them both on the cheeks,"I'm gonna take a shower, 'kay?" I said.

My mom raised an eyebrow,"And where do you think your going, young lady?" she asked me.

I smiled as sweetly as I could. I even put in my power of persuasion in there.

"Um... me, Miguel, and Shue are gonna go to Starbuck and watch a movie."

My mom raised her eyebrow further, if that was even possible. Then she did something I thought she would never ever do; she shrugged.

"Sure, go ahead."

Those were the words that came from her mouth.

I grinned,"Really?" It seemed to good to be true!

She nodded,"I know what's happening with Miggy, you know. He needs you," she told me.

I nodded in understanding. I couldn't waste time on more talking. It was already 8:47 and I agreed to meet up with Miguel on 10:00. He's buying me lunch.

"Thanks again mom!"
