"Do you really want to die? You know you have gastritis*), so why are you still eating spicy hotpot? What's wrong with you?" the clinic doctor cynically explained Zhou Shu Yi's true state.

*) Gastritis (Gastropathy) is a condition of inflammation or erosion due to irritation of the stomach lining.

"Young people these days are hard to understand." Then the doctor sneered at Gao Shi De. "You too. If you really want him to die quickly, cook this food for him every day." The young doctor smiled cynically.

Feeling guilty, Gao Shi De could only sigh and then turned to look at Zhou Shu Yi. "I won't do it again."

"I'm the one who ate the spicy hotpot, why did you yell at him?" Zhou Shu Yi was uncomfortable seeing the doctor blamed Gao Shi De. "Besides... that's none of his business." Zhou Shu Yi glanced at Gao Shi De then lowered his head.

Hearing Zhou Shu Yi's defense of Gao Shi De, the doctor look annoyed and then threw the medical report he was holding to Zhou Shu Yi's chest. Gao Shi De could only watch in surprise. He shifted his gaze between Zhou Shu Yi and the young doctor.

The doctor crossed his arms across his chest and stared at Zhou Shu Yi. "In America, a bar owner will be fined if he couldn't stop a customer from driving back with his car while intoxicated." He paused for a moment, and then continued, "He especially made that hotpot for you. And I can't yell at him?"

Zhou Shu Yi couldn't hold the doctor's cynical gaze for long since what that man said was true. Gao Shi De could only bow his head in silence too, since what the doctor had said made perfect sense. He was the one who harmed Zhou Shu Yi with his hotpot. He felt remorseful.

The doctor took out a small bag filled with medicine and a prescription. "Lad, this medicine will ease your stomach pains, but you have to go to the doctor for further tests."

Zhou Shu Yi reached out his hand to take the medicine and the prescription, but Gao Shi De grabbed them first and then put them in his shirt pocket. Seeing that, the doctor only sent a meaningful glance towards Gao Shi De and then brought his face closer so that it's only inches away from Zhou Shu Yi's face.

"No heavy nor fatty food this week," he reminded Zhou Shu Yi, glancing at Gao Shi De for a second before continuing with, "... but if you really want to die... go ahead, eat some spicy hotpot." His smile was menacing.

Zhou Shu Yi scrunched up his face. "How can a doctor say that to his patient?" He glanced at the name tag pinned on the doctor's white coat.

'School clinic doctor' - Pei Shou Yi.

"Are you sure this 'fool' is the one?" Doctor Pei muttered as he looked at Zhou Shu Yi closely, then smiled and turned to look at Gao Shi De. Gao Shi De, who was still surprised by what Doctor Pei said, looked back at him in panic. Meanwhile, Zhou Shu Yi, although a bit confused, trying to grasped the meaning behind Doctor Pei's words. He also turned to Gao Shi De with a questioning look.

Gao Shi De clamped down his panicking heart and tried to look composed. "You'd better rest here first." He patted Zhou Shu Yi's hand lightly then turned to Doctor Pei. His gaze told the young doctor to meet him outside.
