I had been staying at Niall's place about three nights a week for a few weeks. Tonight I told him I'd meet him at six.
At five o'clock, I hop in the shower for five minutes, washing my hair and rinsing off my body. I quickly dry off and get dressed in a red faded sweatshirt and black leggings. I tie my hair up in a messy bun, like always, and use an old bandana as a headband.
By now it's almost six o'clock, so I put on my old Toms and walk over to Niall's. Knocking gently on his door, I hear footsteps. He opens the door and pulls me in for a hug.
"Hi,"
He says, letting go.
"Hey,"
I greet back. He leads me into the kitchen and we sit at the table. As he gets dinner ready, I check my phone. Four texts and two voicemails?

Where the hell are you? I swear if you don't come home soon you'll pay for itFrom: Dominic
There has to be some way I can track you, just waitFrom: Dominic
In fact, my friend Gus is a computer geek. See you soon, slutI shift in my seat, not daring to listen to my voicemails. Of course, Niall notices my uncomfortable stance.
"Aria? What's wrong?"
"Hm? Oh... nothing. It's nothing, I swear. What's for dinner?"
He looks at me, not convinced.
"Let me see the phone,"
He says sternly.
"Niall, I- no. It's mine,"
I tell him. He sighs and goes back to making dinner. A moment later, my phone beeps again. I read it quickly.
From: Dominic
Just talked to Gus. Turns out he knows exactly where you are because of your cell phone, remember that tracker app? Flying out to new york tonightI freeze.
"Aria..."
Niall starts. I give up my phone to him and he reads my texts as I pace the kitchen.
"We have to leave,"
He says suddenly. I look at him.
"What? What are you talking about?"
He sets my phone on the counter and walks over to me, placing his arm around my waist and bringing me to the table.
"We're leaving New York. We have to. But first..."
He hands me my phone. I know what to do. Instantly, I delete the app. Still, I feel unsatisfied. So I walk over to the window, open it, and drop my phone out. I watch it smash to the concrete below.
"Okay that part wasn't necessary..."
Niall says, chuckling a little. I take a deep breath, and he gets back to business.
"Okay, if he's boarding the plane tonight, we have eight hours to leave. But first... dinner,"
He says seriously. I feel uneasy. He glances at me and sighs.
"Aria, it's gonna be okay. We're going to be okay, I've got you,"
Niall reassures me. I nod and hug him, and he kisses my head. I don't know what we are. Friends? Dating? No, not dating. But not friends either. More than friends, less than serious.
We eat dinner and talk about where we're even going to go.
"What about... California?"
He asks.
"I was thinking more hidden... like Vermont, or Pennsylvania or something. But, California would be nice. I've never been there..."
"Exactly! We can still have some fun with this!"
We finish our spaghetti and he starts packing- "enough for a few weeks" he says. I sit on the edge of his bed as he packs a large blue suitcase and a small black bag.
"Niall?"
I mumble. He sits next to me and holds me in his arms.
"What's wrong?"
He asks thoughtfully.
"What if he finds us? God, he'd kill me, and he'd hurt you. I don't want that to happen..."
I wonder.
"I won't let that happen. And it's impossible for him to find us now. We'll be all the way across the country. We've gotta go pretty soon, lets get you packed."

Bleh, this is such a short chapter. Ever since wattpad added on the word count, I've been trying to make chapters 1000+ words, but I wrote this before the update. Sorry!!
Anyways, I hope you like this chapter. I may or may not be able to update on Thursday, but we'll see.
I've been traveling a ton lately and I'm on spring break right now. Today is the only day I'm home, so hopefully I'm able to write a lot.
Anyways, love you guys and I'll update soon!!
