Katie's POV-
I took a shower when I got home so I could wash all the salt off my body I thought of Keoki the whole time of how I hurt him I changed into shorts and Ian's shirt that I had when we first met. Out of no where I heard a guitar I looked under my bed to see if someone took my guitar but it was still under my bed I followed the noise to Ian's room I opened the door Ian was singing
"That summer we met we started as friends" I guess I'm not the only one who can sing
"I think about you every morning I open my eyes"
"You'd you know what to say if i saw you today would you let it crumble to pieces cause i know I should forget you if i could" I walk into his room and sat down on the hammock chair we had I saw him staring at me my heart dropped there was no girl back home there was a girl from Maui and it was me but I couldn't hurt Keoki like that this was our island Ian was in love with me
"Nice shirt" he said as he stopped playing
"Thanks some weirdo named Ian gave it to me because I ran in the rain" I smiled
"Oh some weirdo is that right" he hung the guitar up
"Yeah pretty much" I said
"Is he handsome" he asked
"Nope" I responded
"You little" Ian throws me on the bed and starts tickling me I started laughing
"At least you're not the one getting thrown" I whispered in his ear we start laughing
"Who taught you that anyway" he asked I laughed
"If I told you I'd have to kill you" I replied Ian stops and looks at my chest
"You're still wearing it" he asked
"Yeah" I replied
"So you play the guitar" I asked
"Yeah and it appears you play it too" he said
"Yeah" I frowned as I thought of Keoki
"Who taught you" he asked
"Keoki" I left Ian's room to go get my guitar
"This was the only guitar I play I've had it for years
"Play a song for me" he said
"Ok let me think" I said
"Ok I got one" I said hoping it would be good
"1 2 3 4, we just wanna fly high and never land learn to stop time like were Peter Pan never growing old never going home they dont have to understand because time only moves faster every book stars to feel like a chapter so let's forget the word and escape while we can and fly away to Neverland" I stopped singing
"Wow" Ian said he leand in to kiss me but I pulled back
"I'm sorry" I said
"No I'm sorry I should've known that you're still in love with Keoki" he said
"Yeah, so that song you were singing it was about me" I asked
"Yeah" he said
"Katie I love you" he said
"I know you do Ian" my heart dropped I didnt know what to say
"You do" he said surprised
"Yeah I like you Ian a lot but" I said
"But you dont love me" he finished my sentence
"Yeah I'm sorry" I said
"Can we still be friends" yeah I left Ian's room and went back into mine
