THEY CHOSE POSY...THEY CHOSE POSY...I kept thinking that over and over again. Then through the haze of my thoughts I heard someone say 'I volunteer as tribute.'
I knew that voice it was Katniss. She volunteered as tribute for Posy. There was chaos. Our parents were crying. Prim and Posy tried to stop her from going. And I just stood there dumbfounded.
Effie introduced Katniss not that it was needed for us we all knew her. And then Effie went for the boys' bowl. She picked out a name and rwad it into the mic. Peeta Melark.....
I had to protect Katniss.
'I volunteer as tribute!'
'The second volunteer of District 12' Effie smiled widely. Katniss glared at me...
I did what I had to do. I stood up and walked up to the podium to shake her hand. Effie escorted us to the Justice Building. Time to say goodbye...
