There was only one thought running through her mind as she left the vault. The more she thought about it, the harder and faster she ran.

The havoc caused by the drones were fatal. The man behind the illusion was filled with savagery. He was a butcher that used innocent lives for his own personal gain. She passed countless bodies that were struck by drones' blast, trampled and worse.

She feared that every corpse she passed was his.

The bridge was in more disarray than she thought. The bridge was desolated and on the brink of collapsing. There was no drones insight. She had to find him.

The closer she got to the bridge, the urge to scream his name increased. When she got to the bridge entrance, she couldn't see anything besides destroyed cars and crushed concrete. "Peter!" Her voice echoed down the bridge. "Peter!" Iduna twisted and jumped on the hoods of many cars. She dug up bodies crushed by the rubble but found no such luck. "Peter! Hello! I can't find you!" The young girl looks up at the crumbling bridge pillar. "please don't leave me." She says to herself, wishing that he could hear the soft, pained words.

The eerie silence of flames burning was soul-crushing.

She thought she was the only one on the bridge until the shuffling over her feet caught her attention. "Iduna?" Her watery eyes open up to find a hobbling figure making its way towards her. "Iduna, is that you?" He looked battered and bruised.

"Peter..." she gasped. Her heart skipped a beat. "Peter!" They both ran at each other with open arms. Peter wraps his arms under hers as Iduna latches onto him. "I thought I lost you."

"Heh." They could feel each other's heartbeats begin to relax. "are you okay?" Peter retracts his head to see her face when he notices the bloody gash. "Oh my god, Dune." He carefully holds her face in his hands as he examines her cut. She watched his brown eyes filled with concern and warmth. All she could do was look at his face. "What happened?"

Iduna traces her hands up his arms and holds him by the wrist. "I tried to be the hero and save the day. Don't worry; everyone else is okay." She smirked. Peter chuckled softly. Now it was her turn to show concern. "What happened to you?" She let a hand graze his cheek. "Where's Beck?"

"He's gone." A dark shroud overcame his face. "You were right; I should've let you come. You would've had my back with the strong web-shooters." A fake smile plays on his lips.

Iduna takes a step back from Peter. "I am so sorry for everything I said. I overstepped, and I hurt you, and I ruined your trip and your plan. I know now that I should've gone back to Valyriate, and I... why are you smiling? Stop smiling. I'm trying to apologise for being a jerk."

Peter had a big grin on his face. "I don't think I'd be here if it weren't for you." He looks around at the destruction that surrounds them. "Yes, you have been a pain in the ass... ow!" Iduna hit him softly on the shoulder. "You've always been a pain in the ass ever since I met you. And you've always been right. You were right about Beck. You were right about MJ. You were right about me."

"Peter, I just said those things because –"

Peter smiled again. "we are still dealing with stuff from the Blip. The difference between us is that you wanted to move on, even though you knew it would hurt. I didn't. I wanted my life to be put on pause. You said I wanted to be normal because it would be easier, and it was, but that only lasted so long. Tony did what he did so we could live our lives. I realise that by not dealing with my problems, I couldn't even do the one thing Tony wanted from me: to be myself."

Iduna smiled sadly. "I'm still sorry for everything. I should've been here for you."

"You were. You kept our friends safe. I'm sorry for what I said in Prague and leaving you there." Flashes of their last conversation replay in her mind. "Next time, can you follow me so that I don't get hit by a train and end up in the Netherlands?"

Iduna squinted at him. "I get what you first said, but I don't understand the latter."

"That's okay." Peter laughed wholesomely. "I just want you to know that I'll always have your back, Iduna."

Iduna smiled as she brought Peter in for another hug. "I'll always have yours. Anytime, anywhere." She nestled her face in the nape of his neck, relinquishing in the feeling of being in his arms. She tightened her hold on him, praying that this wasn't a dream. She didn't want this moment to end until she heard distant sirens. "We better go before we get caught by Midgardian guards."

Iduna helped Peter across the bridge back to their friends. "Where is everyone?"

"I left Happy and the others in some vault. I don't know where the other people are." Peter gave her a puzzling look. "What?"

"You guys hid in the Crown Jewels vault?" Iduna remembered that name because Happy shouted it. "Oh man... the Queen of England is gonna be so mad."

Iduna shook her head. "What? There's a Queen on this planet?"
