Orian

“Be my date tomorrow," he pulls a straight face

“Pardon!" I immediately exclaim I might have heard it wrong.

“Be. My. Date. To. Ball," he says more firmly and clearly, looking into my eyes.

He just-

“Are you are drunk?" I ask him frowning.

He rolls his eyes.

“If I was drunk, I wouldn't be just talking to you," he tilts his head and smirk, his eyes trail down from my eyes to my exposed legs.

My heart raced due to his intense gaze and I look away.

“Axel, it's not allowed in school you know. Between students and teacher, there is a line drawn," I stated.

“We already blurred that line Orian," he tells me softly. The way my name rolls off his tongue is so good to hear.

“But Axel-

“Ori I already talk to teachers about it," he said cutting me off impatiently.

My eyes widen.

“You did what?!" I ask standing up and glaring at the guy, who supposedly has hit his head.

“I may have or not have lied to them. Don't be mad at me. I just told them that I am your guardian and your parents want me to keep an eye on you. As you are a troublesome kid, they told me I can be with you at the ball as your date," he explains.

“And they believed you?" I ask suspiciously.

“Ashton helped me, he was with me when I was talking to the headmaster," he winks

My heart leaps but I keep a straight face.

“Wow, that was easy," I exclaim, still finding it unbelievable.

“So now, will you be my date?" He asks confidently.

“What if I have someone to go with?" I smile, just to tease him.

“But you don't. I knew no one will ask you out," he says and I give him a look.

“That was hurtful," I honestly said.

“I-I you know I didn't mean it in that way," he immediately takes a step closer.

“Then what you meant?" I look at him bitterly.

“You are like a fire to boys, they can just admire you from far. They are scared to come close cause they know they will burn, that's what I meant" he said looking in my eyes as if he was looking in my soul.

I felt a weird feeling when he said explains what he meant.

“Are you not scared to get burned?" I ask him.

“No."

Damn! Why he is like this today!?

My cheeks start to heat up and I rub my ear.

“Okay fine. I will be your date," I say and a cute smile plastered on his face, showing his deep dimples.

Gosh. Those dimples.

Man, he was just looking so intense a minute ago, and now is like a cute baby.

“Now help me!" I said and he nods.

I sat on the chair and he sat on the edge of the desk.

“Look the key point is, don't think about time," he tells me and puts my watch away.
