Not so Innocent

Chapter: 17

Axel

I was supervising the first-year students. But my mind was revolving around her.

She will be okay, right?

She must be doing good?

I tutored her, of course, she will go great.

She isn't nervous, right?

Then again she is Orian Black, she has her shit figured out when she is out in the world.

I patiently waited to get over with the exam. When the bell rang I collected their papers and submitted them to authority.

I waited for her in my office. I knew she will come running here after the exam.

After the exam, I packed my stuff and met Callie, Naomi, and Amber. I wanted to run over to Axel and tell him I did my best.

The test was tough but I did it. I surprised myself that I did it.

"Hey, you okay?" Callie asked giving me a chocolate bar.

"Of course!" I say cheerfully.

My three friends looked at me weirdly. They know the relationship between me and chemistry.

"I did well don't worry," I assure them and asked, "What about you guys?"

"It was a little tough," Naomi said going through the test paper.

"Not little dude," Callie roll her eyes.

"Okay for me," Amber nod nervously.

Suddenly Ash popped out of nowhere and placed his arm around Naomi pulling her closer.

"Hey Baby," he says and Naomi smiled at him, "Hey, why are you here aren't you supposed to be practicing?"

"I came to pick you," he says softly.

I smiled at them, they just fit with each other.

"These love birds!" Amber said dramatically.

"Ugh, my eyes!" Callie joins Amber in her dramatics.

"I have to go guys, I will see you before tomorrow's test," I say and started running.

"Yahhh don't fall! His office is not gonna disappear!" Amber yells behind me.

"Why she is meeting that asshole !" I heard Ash asking and his Owww....probably because Naomi smacked him.

I ran towards his office. I didn't knock and just opened the door slightly and looked at what he is doing.

He was talking on the phone, his back was facing the door. I slowly held the door open and without making any noise I walked in.

When I was right behind him and said, "Boooooo"

He jumped so bad that his phone fell out of his hand as he turned to look at me, his face was priceless.

I laughed out loud but when I saw the called ID my heart sank.

I pretended I didn't say anything and smiled at him.

"You sacred me Orian," he says and picked up his phone.

"Let's talk later," he said to Sia who was on call and smiled at me. I smiled again. I gave him my fake smile for the first time since we met.

"It seems that tutoring you paid off," he takes a step to hug me but I stepped back.
