Several months later, it was springtime.

Lady had grown into a beautiful cocker spaniel.

She woke up just as the rooster made it's usual noise

The sweet pooch let out a yawn and stretched out her legs.

Wagging her tail, she jumped on over to Darling and gently nuzzled her.

The woman moaned sleepily and moved her arm.

Lady then got off bed and began to wake up Jim Dear.

"Alright Lady, I'm up. Lady I'm—

Jim Dear then noticed the date on the calendar

Jim Dear then noticed the date on the calendar.

"Oh no".

He groaned.

"What's wrong Jim? What is it"?

Darling asked.

"Can't you explain to Lady about Sunday's"?

Jim Dear tiredly flopped back into bed.

Lady happily ran out of the bedroom and all the way downstairs to go outside and play.

She barked at the black crows, scaring them off.

The lovingly pampered pooch then ran away to guard the rest of the property.

After that, the birds simply flew back down to the ground and went back to what they were doing earlier.

In the backyard, Lady found a bone and she grabbed it in her mouth.

Then, she decided to bury the bone in the flower beds.

Upon doing that, one of Darling's lovely flowers were ruined.

Lady looked back and saw what she had done.

So, she moved the flower back onto the spot where she buried her bone using the tip of her nose and now it was upside-down.

As she trotted along, Lady noticed a rat scurrying about in the alley.

She growled at it and then began to ferociously chase it.

The rat cheekily made it's escape through a hole underneath a fence.

Lady tried to dig her way through, but she heard a bicycle's bell.

It was the paper boy, who was delivering all the newspapers to the neighborhood residents.

He threw the newspaper and Lady ran to go get it.

She swiftly jumped up into the air, catching it in her mouth.

Lady ran back to the front porch to go inside through the doggie door, but the newspaper wouldn't fit.

So, she turned around and went into the house backwards, only to rip the newspaper by accident.

Lady went to go join Jim Dear and Darling for breakfast.

"Have you noticed Darling? Since we've had Lady, we've seen less and less of those disturbing headlines".

Jim Dear was drinking coffee out of a mug and then he generously poured it into Lady's dish bowl.

"Yes, I just don't how we'd ever gotten along without her".

Darling replied, giving Lady a donut.

Lady dipped the donut into the coffee and ate it slowly like a lady.

"Say, she must be about 6 months old. We better be getting her a license".

Jim Dear said.

Lady licked her coffee and then ate some more of the donut.
