The words kept ringing in Eren's ears. "I did it didn't I? I hurt her. I hurt Armin too. I thought about it. I thought about how harsh I can be. I know it will hurt her.I wish Armin had hit me harder"
"Eren" called Floch. " It went just as you had planned" . " Okay. I'll get going now". Eren answered without looking at him. " Farewell, Floch" he murmured to himself.
And then, the rumbling began.
(In the path)
" Oi Eren" Armin called him with a shaky voice. It all started to make sense to him now. Why the friend who went into a titan's mouth for him acted like he wanted to hurt them.
" You crazy bastard, how could you do this. Why?!All of this, did you really have no options left? Don't give me that bullshit" Armin said furiously.
" I saw my successor,the one who would take my attack titan. It was Gabi. Mikasa died protecting me. I saw it all." Eren said with void in his eyes. Attack titans can see the memories of their successors. " What are you talking about..." Armin asked . His blond hair in the air. A strong breeze suddenly got in here. Eren started walking without answering. Armin followed him. " Has the future shifted now?"He asked Eren again. " Yes, Out of all the futures I had seen, this is the one where I could save you two." Eren answered facing his back to Armin. Both of them stayed still for a while. Armin started feeling a bit cold. The breeze started flowing from the same direction as before. Two birds flew by them. Armin broke the silence. " What about the rumbling.You know you annihilated 80% of the population right? Children, women,men all of them" Armin asked with tear in his eyes. He already knows the answer .He can see it in Eren's eyes. " Everything I said and did.....it all came down to this, Armin. I'm sorry for hurting you" ." You should be saying that to Mikasa. Did you really have to hurt her like that?" Armin asked while sweeping the tears off his face with his hand. " I would rather kill myself than hurt Mikasa. I love her, Armin. She's all I ever had" Eren said as tears flowed down his cheeks. Armin looked at him. His heart aching. He feigned a small laugh. " Hah, that's better anyways. Now she can find a better man and settle down. She won't wait for you anymore". " But I don't want her to find another man, I want her to know how much I love her. I want her to know how much I want her" Eren broke down crying. Armin stared at him. Startled at the confession he had just made. Armin sat down with Eren. Both of them stayed like that for a long time. " Tell me everything,Eren. I want to know everything"
