The reason you don't grow bug wings is because they'd need to be 50 ft. to fly. Scratch that, Ii don't think humans can fly with them at all. Not only that, but bug wings are extremely delicate. They consume energy and just aren't worth the time, unless you want to break your wings right away. I can only think of one pro: they are retraceable.
Bat wings are growable for humans, however, if you aren't into bird wings.
