Jimmy led her over to a large, white tent.

"Elsa, you in there?" He yelled through the cloth.

"Yes my dear, you may come in." A thick, german accent rang out.

Jimmy smiled at Y/N, "come on." He pushed the flap back for her to enter and he followed behind her.

She walked into a large room that seemed like a living room. A woman with short, curly blonde hair turned around, cigarette in-hand.

"Who's this?" She looked Y/N up and down.

"She was kidnapped, there were these two insane guys dressed as clowns harassing her and I found her and brought her back here." Jimmy explained.

"So you came here to boast about your heroic act?" She shot him a look and raised her eyebrow.

"No, actually. I was hoping she could stay here and even be... recruited." He looked up at her, searching for a sign of approval.

"Recruited, huh? You don't look like you qualify." She gave Y/N a threatening look.

"Her differences aren't on the outside. She has an ability, it's amazing." Jimmy smiled.

"She's a grown woman, she can speak for herself." Elsa raised her eyebrows, waiting for her to elaborate.

"I uh, I can show people their worst fears by looking into their eyes." She blurted out nervously.

Elsa set her cigarette in an ashtray and slowly walked up to the girl. "How do I know this is true?" She was intrigued but skeptical.

"I can- show you if you'd like but- but some people can't really handle it." She looked down at the ground.

"Yeah, Elsa that's not the best idea I think she-

"Go fetch our 'strong man', will you?" Elsa interrupted Jimmy.

He gave her a shocked look and set down Y/N's bags hesitantly.

Y/N exchanged a cautious look with Jimmy but he exited the tent anyway.

"Sit, my darling." Elsa gestured to a small sofa and Y/N obliged.

"What's your name?" Elsa sat across from her on another couch, crossing her legs.

"Y/N L/N." She said, still tense.

"Well, I'm Elsa Mars and if what you say is true, I would love to welcome you to our troupe." She raised a glass to her mouth.

"Thank you-

She was interrupted by a short, bald man throwing the flap of the tent out of the way and approaching Elsa.

"I was about to go to bed, what did you need?" He glanced over at Y/N. "Who's this?"

"Sit, Dell. Do not question me." Elsa demanded.

Jimmy just stood back, crossing his arms.

The man sat next to Y/N confused.

"Go on, my dear. Show us your talent." Elsa pushed.

Y/N shot Jimmy one more look and turned her attention to the man, she took a deep breath and hoped nothing bad would happen.

The man just looked around confused and a little frustrated.

"All you have to do is look in my eyes, okay?"
Y/N asked politely.

He nodded still weirded out. He sat up straight and looked into her eyes.

Jimmy and Elsa watched as Y/N's eyes turned to a deep purple. The man's eyes widened and he froze but his breath quickened. Tears barely started to show in the bottom of his eyes and he started to say "no" over and over, under his breath. Both of his hands grabbed the side of his head and his tears became more prominent. Y/N quickly stopped and she blinked her eyes a couple of times, coming out of her state. The man was let go from the force and he looked around frantically. He shot up from the couch and held out his shaky index finger, pointing at Y/N.

"What was that? What the hell was that?!" He yelled as his chest heaved.

"I- I'm sorry, are you okay?" Y/N stood up slowly with a worried demeanor and she walked over to him.

"No, stay away from me." He said quite angry and he gave Elsa a concerned look and stormed out of the tent.

Y/N stood there frozen, feeling guilty.

Jimmy came up behind her and turned her around to face him by her waist. "It's okay, Dell's an asshole. It's nothin' personal, but wow, that was really cool. Just- don't ever do that to me alright?" He chuckled.

Y/N laughed back, "I won't."

"Welcome to the crew! Jimmy? Will you set
Y/N up in the empty caravan next to your's?" Elsa said proudly.

"Sure thing." Jimmy smiled at Y/N excitedly and rushed over to collect her bags.

Jimmy exited the tent and Y/N began to follow but she turned back around before leaving. "Thank you Miss Elsa." She smiled sincerely.

"It's my pleasure, dear. Now, go get some shut eye. I will introduce you to all my monsters tomorrow." Elsa walked into another section of the tent, out of sight.

Y/N walked back toward the exit and Jimmy stood there waiting, holding the flap out of the way for her to walk out.

He led her through the grounds, toward two caravans. They were quite spaced out and larger than Y/N expected.

Jimmy walked up to the plain white trailer and opened the door. "We have extra caravans layin' around all over camp, we've been hoping for new members for a while." He stepped up into the trailer and set down her bags.

She entered the caravan and looked around at how spacious it actually was. "It's really nice in here, wow."

"We always have 'em move-in ready, just in case, and for times like these." Jimmy plopped down at a small booth off to the right.

Y/N scooted in next to him and rested her head on his shoulder. "You don't know how much this means to me."

Jimmy just put his arm around her and laid his head over her's.

They sat in silence for a while, just taking in this moment.

"You should get some sleep. I imagine getting kidnapped uses up most of your energy." Jimmy laughed.

"Ha, yeah, kinda." She sat back up and faced Jimmy. "This might come off as weird but could you stay here tonight, with me, I'm just- I don't know, it would just give me peace of mind, feel more safe." She asked hesitantly.

"Yeah, yeah, no problem. If that's what you want." He nodded.

"Yeah, it would just- make me feel better."

"Well, c'mon get to bed." Jimmy motioned for her to get up.

She walked over to the freshly-made, full size bed, pulled back the covers, and climbed in. Jimmy walked around to the other side and scooted up to Y/N, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her back to meet him. She smiled and got comfortable in his protective arms. They both drifted off into a deep sleep very quickly and happily. Savoring the other's presence before falling into the land of dreams.
