Chapter 4: Thorn
<Rose's POV>
Before I knew it, the bell marking the end of first period rang.
I snapped out of my thoughts( which were only about a certain someone's captivating grey eyes) and got up to leave.
Tiffany came running up to me and slid her arm through mine. She really likes doing that a lot.
We walked into the hallway and Tiffany helped me find my locker, chatting away all the time about the school, the lousy teachers, the hot jocks, and other stuff.
"Oh, but the hottest guy in school is the one and only-"
Tiffany's rambling was cut off by a guy grabbing her waist from behind and spinning her around.
"Brian, stop! I-I'm gonna g-get dizzyyyy!"
Tiffany screamed through her laughter as the guy spun her round and round.
He put her down after a while and laughed as Tiffany tried to steady herself and fell on the floor.
"Owww, Brian you jerk that hurt!" Tiffany whined.
"Yeah yeah suck it up" The guy said, but then turned his attention to me. He gave me a brilliant smile, showing all his teeth. It was easy to tell he was cute.
He had brown hair and hazel brown eyes, and a very muscular build. He was wearing a blue jersey, over a white t shirt that clung to his body, defining the abs underneath.
Hot jock.
Nice.
"So, Tiffany, aren't you going to introduce me to your new friend?" he said, still not taking his eyes off me.
The way he was looking at me was.....intense.
And I noticed when he checked me out head to toe.
Tiffany shot back up to her feet and scoffed.
"As if, Brian, I don't want Rose to meet assholes like you" She snapped.
Brian smirked at me.
"Oh, so your name is called Rose. A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. I'm Brian by the way"
Brian dramatically bowed and then took my hand and kissed it.
I burst out laughing at his cheesiness but Tiffany just rolled her eyes and muttered something angrily under her breath.
"Ah! Even your laugh is beautiful!I see you're new, right? I would've noticed a hottie like you if you went here"
Brian began walking with Tiffany and me to our next class, which was biology.
Or rather he was walking with me and Tiffany was behind us, cursing Brian under her breath.
The guy wouldn't let her walk besides us and kept pushing her away when she tried to squeeze her way in between us.
Apparently Tiffany and Brian were next-door neighbors and had known each other since they were kids.
And according to Tiffany, Brian's only goal in life was to annoy her until she was ripping her hair out of her head and attacking the football jock's balls.
We reached our class a little early this time and we sat down at some empty seats in the middle of the class.
Brian sat in between Tiffany and I and turned his back to the poor girl and faced me, grinning all the time.
Tiffany's mood was getting worse by the second, but she decided to ignore Brian and buried herself in her textbook.
"So"
