A Runner's Heart (Bakugo x Reader) ON HIATUS

Part 1:The Mission

Y/n POV

After Dad coming back he told us that Savitar was going to kill my mom I just can't believe it after all a couple months ago I just found out that I'm not even supposed to be here, this happens!? "Mom its ok... w-we'll stop him right guys?" I say. Silence. 

Grandpa Joe isn't even here to listen to all of this. "R-right?" Silence. "Oh my god!" I whisper. As I start to back away my dad tries to call for me. "Y/n don-" he calls but I already ran away.

As I run I decide its time to see some old friends running as fast as I can. Once I'm there I head to the only place I know. "Hawks!" I call out. (You are now speaking Japanese) "Hey kid what's up" "oh um you know the usual getting threated by another speedster nothing new hehe..." as I say this it becomes silent so to break the tension I awkwardly laugh.

"Anyway I was wondering if you wanted to race to day or something to keep my mind off of things." I said to clear this awkwardness. "Sure why not" he replied. "Oh, anything new happening lately?" I ask while walking to the race track with him. "Nothing here but you've got a mission request at Musutafu in UA High, they want you to go undercover as a student they'll give you more info if you accept." 

"I'll think about it" i say. I wonder if I'll ever get a break just a couple days ago I found out my dad created flashpoint. I was never here in the first place. "Ready kid 3...2...1!" Once I hear one I start running with my purple lighting behind me. 

Hawks and I are neck in neck with each other but after running our three laps we end up at a tie again. "Damnit to slow" "kid your like the same speed as me don't worry; also in the same rank as me ya know... its fine if we always have a draw." he says trying to comfort me. "Fi-"

'Ring Ring'

"Hold on let me take this real quick" I say as I reach out to grab my phone. Looking at the screen I see that its Toshi. "Hey what's up... yeah Hawks just told me... ya know what, why not... oh I'm fine... well I'll see you there... wait aren't you going to have the festival around that time... alright I'll see you bye." I say hanging up I look at Hawks seeing that he's already eating his chicken like always.

Seeing that I start to giggle "what are you doing" I ask trying to hold in my laugh. "What, I got hungry... so who was that on the phone?" "Oh that was All Might he decided to give a call and ask me about the mission to see if was was going to so, I said why not." I responded to him while eating some chicken as well. 

"Well I have to go to UA to see what I need to do see ya Kei" "Alright bye!"

~Le Time Skip~

"Young Y/n, over here I would like you to meet principal Nezu of U.A High." Toshi tells me. "Hello Principal Nezu I'm Y/n West-Allen please call me what ever you like!" I say with a smile. "Hello thank you for accepting my request to protect the students." he said with a smile as well. He continued.

 "As you know Class 1-A was attacked by villians know as the League Of Villains. I know that you are working and have a busy schedule so I'll cut this short. I would like you to pose as a U.A. student undercover and protect them when needed. You have a Hero License here in Japan yes?" I nodded. 

 "Well all of the teachers will be informed about this as well as the other heroes in the area so if there is any trouble you will be able to help. Any questions?" Yes actually what will be my cover up story since I am coming when school starts back up again considering that it has already been a few days." I ask.

"You will be known as a international student at U.A. and since in America it is not common to have quirks they will know you are a metahuman. and the reason you are here late is because of a family emergency that occurred back in America happened and you had to stay home for a little longer." Toshinori said.
