Fire Destiny: Fire and Ice

Chapter 4: Fort Capture

My descison is final. We slowly approach the fort. Hiding behind any rocks or boulders in front of the fort. We can not let them see us. All of us assume that the ice dragons are on the top floor of the fort by their voices. We finally reach the door to the fort after what seemed like hours of sneaking. Since Burn has the longest claws she poked her claw into the lock hole to open the door. And she finally does and slowly the door creaks open. We slowly sneak into the fort with caution. As we look around the room we see tons of sharp, pointy spears along with iron armor with four leg holes. "This is awesome!" Jeremy yells. "You idiot! Why would you say that?" I yelled. Oh shoot I yelled too. "Hey what was that?" I can here one of the guards say. "I'll go check it out," I here another guard say. After that I can here footsteps walking down the stone stairs. all of us panic thinking what we should do. Finally the guard reaches the end of the stairs and sees us. But before he has time to yell to his friends I fly to him grab his head, and jerk it as hard as I can, snapping his neck. I did this because I was thinking on my feet and it was the quietest way to kill someone. "What's taking so long?" I can hear one of the other guards say. We know the only way to capture this fort was to kill every dragon in here, so we all grab a spear from the rack and head up the stairs. When we reach the top floor all of the guards imeadiately look at us and charge. None of them are wearing armor so all of us chuck our spears at them and the first three fall to the floor. But without our spears now we our weapon less. We try to reach the bodies where the spears lie but the other dragons reach them first. They slowly pull the spears out of the bodies and ready their weapons. Just like we did, the dragons throw their spears at us, but we dodge. Since weapons won't work anymore we charge at the remaining dragons. The ice dragons all try to freeze us but we react fast and counter using our fire. Eventually their ice breath fades and we strike them with our fire. All of the dragons fall except one. The last tries to sprint to a fire beacon and light it for reinforcements. And sadly he does, but as soon as he does all three of us strike him and he falls. We had captured the fort.
