chapter 13

Keith's pov.

My alarm went off but when I tried to turn it off I felt somebody holding me I realized who was cuddling me and just decided to unplug my clock so I did I turned over to face pico and he was sound asleep in honesty he was a cute sleeper I decided to give him good morning kisses and he gently pushed me away mumbling to himself like a lazy dork he is, he let go of me and turned over falling asleep again I got up feeling a sharp pain in my lower half I looked down noticing I wasn't wearing underwear...I walked quickly to my dresser and grabbed some boxers and put them on I sighed in relief and walked to my closet I looked around and grabbed a grey over sized sweater I put it on and walked out my room to my kitchen making two cups of coffee while I was making me and picos coffee I heard my phone bing in the other room so I left to my room to see who texted me once I got in my room I saw pico still sleeping peacefully I went to grab my phone and unlocked it I went to my messenger and looked to see who texted me it was my best friend cherry

Cherry: hey keith were you sleeping?

Keith: oh yeah I was sorry about that lol

Cherry: oh no your fine man I didn't mean to disturb you but just letting you know you have a rap battle with that tank man dude.

Keith: oh really? Well alright ill be there soon I promise ya.

Cherry: alright cya soon!

Keith: you too!

Our conversation ended and I went to get our coffee when I got back I layed both our coffees down on the dresser and tried to wake up pico "hey pico I gotta go soon but if you'd like you can stay" I kissed his forehead and went to get ready I put on a black shirt and some black ripped jeans I grabbed my cap and drank my coffee before I left I finished my coffee put it in the sink and left the house for the rap battle with this "tank man" dude cherry sent me their location and it seemed it was sent to a war zone?! What the fuck kinda bullshit is this! I calmed down and left the apartment buildings and walked called an Uber once the Uber arrived I showed the guy my location I wanted to go "you sure you wanna go there sir?" The driver said a bit concerned "yes im expecting company there" I said and looked out the window the driver put his car on drive and we went to our destination.

Picos pov.

I woke to a huge headache when I got up I saw a note on the dresser saying he went to go to a rap battle, I sighed and got up I saw coffee on the dresser and decided to drink it I went to the living room with my phone sitting on the couch turning on the TV so see what was on the news

REPORTING LIVE: today there will be a huge rap battle in the war zone this evening so please be careful and don't go in that huge war zone area!

I stood shocked is Keith going to the war zone?! I thought to myself panicking I got my shoes on and ran out the door and ran out the building I got in my car and drove as fast as I could to the war zone before Keith got himself hurt.

"I hope he isn't challenging with a old friend of mine.."

Keith's pov.

We finally got to our destination and I seen a long ass sidewalk so I was guessing I had to walk that I paid the driver and got out the car I watched the Uber leave and left to walk on the long ass sidewalk once I started walking halfway I saw cherry sitting on the speakers but when I got closer I saw this guy wearing a helmet and wearing a black and white body suit this must of been the guy cherry was talking about?I walked over to them and this dude kinda was a asshole "well there you small little man ready to get your ass beat?" He said in a very mean tone which I didn't really like at all I ignored his tone and let it slide after that we starting rap battle each other, once it was finished he looked pissed when he lost "listen here buddy you aint getting out here alive alright men get ready to fire sorry man no problem for you this year haha!" He laughed I looked over to see guns pointed at cherry but her eyes looked exactly like her moms horns grew out of her head she grabbed one of the men and bit the hell of their neck  the other male was about to shoot cherry until we heard a loud gun shot I turned to see pico with his gun "sorry to crash the party but this is over!" He screamed looking at the tank dude "son?" I looked back at the guy and I was shocked "yes father did you miss me? Abandoning me and leaving me making me feel helpless!" I felt pico grab my hip and pulled him toward me "are you proud of me yet dad?!" I heard sniffling coming from pico what the hell happened between these

(Flashback)

"Look dad I shot a deer!" Pico said with his cute smile smiling at his father "son lets go to toy store!" He said in a cheerful tone little pico smiled and went with his father but he wasn't going to a toy store at all his father gets out the car and brings pico with to a old rusty building "uh dad this isn't the toy store.." pico said a little worried "listen son I've tried training you to be like me you know to be a real solider but you keep failing every task so im going to have to abandon you" "w-what?!" He grabs pico and pushes him to the ground "im sorry son" tank man gets in his car leaving little pico all alone but that wasn't all the place he left pico was at a school and that is where the school shooting began.

(End of flashback)

Picos pov.

I saw my father in rage and confusion cherry walked by us with blood dripping down her mouth "get him" I said without making eye contact cherry nodded her head yes and walked towards him she grabbed his neck and lifted him up in the air he kept begging for her to stop and cried for help I stood there smiling and covered Keith's eyes she got her claws out and ripped open his stomach his guts fell to the ground and surprisingly he was still breathing...she dropped him to the ground and took his helmet off she grabbed his face and started eating his face alive he started screaming bloody murder but I just stood and watch as cherry was destroying him when she was done she got up and wiped her mouth off smearing blood on her face I walked over to my dads dead body and grabbed his helmet I grabbed a pole and stuck it in the ground I put the helmet on top and smeared blood on the helmet leaving a X on it letting the soldiers know who did it and who killed their boss I laughed and walked away when I turned around Keith looked scared because me and cherry were both covered in blood of my own father cherry transformed back and smiled at him like nothing happened "sorry Keith you had to witness that" cherry says rubbing the back of her neck "yea we are really sorry Keith but me and cherry did the right thing" I walked to Keith and hugged him he hugged back tightly and didn't wanna let go "lets get something to eat" I nod my head and look Keith with tears running down his face I wipe the tears accidentally smearing blood on his face "sorry.." I said softly he giggled and grabbed both ours hands and lead us to cafe I guess Keith was okie witnessing my father's death
