Sleep.

Train.

Food?

Maybe.

Water?

No.

Day end.

Repeat.

-------------------------------------------------------

y/n shimura was cold.

Figuratively and Literally.

She sat in her cell, only the rain and stars to entertain her.

She wasn't complaining, really. Many people had it worse than her.

Rule #1: 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝗼𝐫 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝.

Her e/c eyes wandered the ceiling checking for the nicks she already knew were there, looking, praying for an opening.

Nope.

Dangit.

Instead, a camera pointed back at her, most likely recording her every move, for her dear old brother to check every so often.

To a normal person, this would be hell.

But for y/n, this was life.

"y/n, proceed to training grounds immediately. You have approximately 10 seconds. If you do not arrive in the time given, you will receive a punishment."

You stood up slowly, the collar on your neck shifting slightly, bruising your skin for the umpteenth time.

You didn't flinch as the ice-cold floor made contact with your feet, nor did you flinch when you heard a distinct counting flow through the building.

"..7..6..5"

You took a deep breath, focusing on the energy in the air around you.

And just like that, you glitched through time.

This was your safe place. The "𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧" as you called it.

No one could come here except for yourself and people you glitched into here.

The floor was black, the walls variations of whites, purples, pinks, and blues.

Time was stopped here, so you didn't need to worry about the timer from reality.

You sighed. It was time to go back to life.

Once again, before you left, you called out in a ragged voice, although you knew no one could hear you-

"Please save me."

Just as you left, a smooth female voice responded.

"Just a few more days, then you will be able to escape. Good luck, my dear 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫."
