A Vampire's Secret (Zero X Yuki and Ruca X Kaname)

Sorry for the late updates! But my exams will soon start so i'm not very sure i'll be able to update before Mid-March. Anyways here is the third chapter and thanks  lot for the comment somebody left. It makes me really happy to know that someone liked me story and told me so.

Yuki felt feverish. She didn't know how she got to her room, but she inhaled the fimiliar scent of her guest room which she crashed in a lot of times when she was to lazy to go the dorm. She shivered slightly but was grateful for the blanket that was wrapped around her and the ice-pack on her head. She couldn't possibly remember when she got back, she just remembered that she was last attending her boring History class. Everything after that was blank. She was still in her uniform and when she slowly turned her head towards the window she could see that the sun was well on it's way to set. She jerked her head back in place. Even though her fever hadn't completely disappeared, she did feel sweaty all over, which was a good sign. She needed to change and tell her father that she would not be able to do her duties as a prefect tonight. She turned to her side and she was about to sit upright when suddenly she felt like her eyeballs would pop out of their sockets.

Zero was right there, his bare back turned to her, revealing all his well-defined and lean back muscles. He was looking for a shirt through the closet. Somedays Yuki would crash here, and other days Zero would. So both of their extra clothes were in this closet. Yuki just could not pry her eyes away from that godly figure, which attracted her to him like magnet. She didn't care if it was his back muscles or front. She would accept any part of him. She was frozen. Once Zero found a proper shirt, he slid into it and turned around. Yuki stared at him with her awe-struck look turning into a annoyed glare. "How many times should I tell you that you shouldn't randomly change in front of other people..." She mumbled sleepily, rubbing her eyes. Zero wore a thin, smile which he didn't she often and sat on the edge of her bed. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." She covered her face with her hands, acting as if she was rubbing her face, though actually she was trying to rub the blush away on her cheeks. He was too close to her. His face towered over her, blocking the lamp light on the ceiling. He put a hand on her forehead, which was still warm. Her face was flushed but she blamed the fever for it. He sighed and kept his gaze on her. Maybe a bit too long and niether of them would break it. Thoughts were running through her head. Wierd thoughts. Thoughts which only started coming up ever since she fell for Zero.

He broke the gaze with a blush of his own and asked, "You need anything?"

I need you.

WAIT, WHAT?!

Yuki's inner thoughts were threatening to be put into action but she restrained herself. She pushed the buff blanket away. "No, just the time."

"It's evening. Don't worry i told our father that you don't have to do your duties today. You should sleep." It was true that niether of them were used to calling their adopted father as 'dad'. Zero wouldn't move from his sitting position beside her. He just kept his face lowered, hiding his expression. Yuki noticed that and questioned, "Everything fine, Zero?"

He nodded, wiping the sweat which wasn't there a second ago, from his face and stood up. Yuki frowned inwardly as his radiating heat left her side. He seemed to be in a rush as he quickly said between short breaths, "I have to go. Go to your dorm room. Your freind will take care of you." He stumbled out of the room and sprinted through the hallways, leaving Yuki still confused and worried.

She had completely forgot that he had been deprived of blood for more than six days. She just hadn't remembered his beastly needs yet. She rubbed circles with her finger on her forehead to keep the sinus from making her dizzy. She wanted to take care of Zero but he was right. She needed to take care of herself first.

She slowly passed the halls, her steps staggering and her head dizzy. She made her way to her dorm room finally which she shared with Yori. She stepped in and saw that it was going to be lights out soon. Yori was standing there, waiting for her expectantly with an anxious look. "You finally came." Her face was as emotionless as ever but she rushed to Yuki's side and immediately helped her change and get in bed. Yuki gazed at her gratefully, as her posture slumped over the headboard of the bed. "Zero told me that you needed to be taken care of." Yori said with a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Why didn't you come to class today? I got so bored, sitting there with only Zero glaring behind my back." Yuki frowned. "I had a mild headache and my mom finally sent me a letter after so long. I wanted to read it and write to her back. So i was better off with the company of my pencils then the company of your annoying boyfriend."

"Boyfriend?" Yuki asked groggily. "Huh? Don't tell me you didn't tell Zero your undying love for him!" Yori imitated Desperate Juliet. Yuki seemed to snap out of her grogginess. "He's just a friend! Okay?" Even saying that, it hurt her tongue. She didn't want to continue telling Yori that she wasn't in love with Zero.

Meanwhile.....

Zero exhaled heavily as he leaned against a nearby tree, swallowing his anti-addiction pills vigirously. Yuki had fever, Zero was starved and his old man was out of town. Zero didn't want to pull his throbbing heart away from Yuki. He didn't want to distance himself from the only person he truly cared about. But he had to. It hurt him everyday. It hurt him each time but he had to do this. He looked up at the nightsky with eyes that were blurred. He felt so tired. He just wanted Yuki. And he didn't want her blood only. That wasn't the only thing. He needed every part of her. Something he could never have. Something he shouldn't even bother wishing for. He was a beast and she was a beauty. And this was not a fairytail. This was reality where he couldn't always hang on to hope that one day that Yuki's lips will be on his.

But he dreamt while he could.
