***Gryffindor Common Room (1997)***
Ginny was sitting on the sofa in the common room in front of the fire reading Quidditch through the ages when Quinn walked into the common room with a cut lip and a swollen eye. Ginny ran to her girlfriend of a few months and hug her
“Quinn are you alright? What happened?”
“I only had a run-in with the Carrows, I’m alright really” assured Quinn
“It’s something that happens all too frequently at the moment”
commented Neville who came over to do a quick episkey to help heal Quinn up
“Yes it is, how's your hand doing Neville?”
asked Quinn who was walking back to the sofa in front of the fire with her arms around Ginny and her head on Ginny’s shoulder
“It’s alright thank you, just a bit sore”
“We have to do something about this, we can’t live like this”
Said Ginny as she stared into the fire and put her head on top of Quinn’s
“But what Gin? What can we do?” asked Quinn
“We could start up Dumbledors army again?”
suggested Neville who was looking around at the broken and beaten down faces of the Gryffindors that were hanging around the common room
“Don’t be silly, how would we be able to do that?” asked Quinn
“I still have my DA coin and I know a few others still do as well, we could use them to communicate and we can meet up in the room of requirements again” answered Neville
“What the heck we might as well do something”
stated Ginny lifting her head off of Quinn’s head and looking Neville in the eyes
“Yeah, why not. We need to make it know that we don’t want to live like this” said Quinn
***May 1st (1998)***
Hogwarts had started to fill up with order members and other wizards that had come to fight Quinn and Neville were in the centre of the room of requirement going over a map of the school with Harry, Ron and Hermione when the Weasley family came in Quinn’s attention was immediately drawn to the youngest family member. Quinn hadn’t seen Ginny in 5 months since she left Hogwarts at Christmas and never came back as her family went into hiding. Ginny was searching the room for her and when they locked eyes, both girls started to run to each other Quinn’s blonde hair fanning out behind her as she ran into the arms of her girlfriend.
“I can’t believe you are here, I've missed you so much” whispered Quinn in Ginny’s ear
“Me too, I love you” replied Ginny pulling Quinn in for a kiss
Pulling away Quinn’s smile falls as she thinks about what is about to happen
“I don’t want to lose you Gin” whispered Quinn
“You won’t lose me everything is going to be alright” replied Ginny in a whisper
Little did she know everything did not turn out alright.
