Even though it's the end of the summer, the weather is still warm and the sun is sharp, glaring at Nao. Her limps are still stiff, her joints are tired and she is freezing. Cold. Cold. Cold. When doesn't she feel cold. Even when her new quirk, submits warm, the warm doesn't reach her. But it's a good thing the weather is warm - that means Michan can feel the sun, shinning in from the window in their room. And it's important Michan is warm. Very important.

Then a loud alarm rings, and Nao has to suppress a reaction - the ringing of the alarm, reminds her of the ringing in her ears, after she have visited the special room. - The entrance exam of UA is done, and Nao did like she were ordered. She suppose 'Hope' she were placed at the sixth place, that was the deal.

When the letter from UA arrives, Nao doesn't breath out of relief, even when she is placed as number six on the entrance exam - Pa and Ma observe her, inspect her, pick her apart like a bacteria under the microscope, and she remains a marble statue. But sometimes being a marble statue isn't enough, then Nao visit the special room. Without complains she follows, even though Nao doesn't like the special room.

Nao wonders if her dark hair, looks stark agains her face, or if her nose is tinted pink. The cold still sinks in, and her skin is paper white. Her steps are quiet, —to quiet for a child, but to loud for Nao—They echo inside her head, and it's already pounding. Wether if it's from the loss of food or water, Nao doesn't know.

She opens the door to class 1A. A door she doesn't like, it makes her look small and weak. Nao has to be strong. The chatter inside the room continues, unbothered by her presence. It's loud. Loud is not good, that have she learned.

A boy approaches her (Nao doesn't know his name, quite yet. But she will soon, since it's her task to know about people like these. Future heroes. Future dangers.) He put out a hand, in a robotic manner. Michan would have laughed at his silly manner, but Nao is not Michan.

"Good morning, I am Iida Tenya. I hope we can cooperate well in the future, as classmates and heroes" His voice is as robotic as his manners, and it doesn't surprise Nao.

"Naoko Hino. I wish for a good cooperation aswell" She finishes her sentence with a little bow, and force herself not to cough. Her throat is dry, and she feels so cold. Always cold.

Nao sits down in the back, in the corner. Her back hurts, it hurts a lot. But that would make sense, after the harsh treatment it got with the belt yesterday. You better not disappoint. Stupid. Stupid child.

Then the teacher comes in, crawling in through the door with a yellow sleeping bag. It reminds Nao of a book she once gave Michan. It were about bugs. The slimy catterpillar, turned into a beautiful butterfly. Will Nao turn to a butterfly one day. She suppose it's when she dies;

(If that's the case, Michan might turn to a butterfly first. )

It stings a little, somewhere deep inside her. In her aching bones. She is still cold, and her eyes are dryer then her throat. But she observes anyway. She observes the squeamish boy in front of her. He fiddles with his fingers, curl and uncurl them. Now and then some rapid muttering appears from him. Nao knows that's a bad habit. Michan had the same habit once, and then she had to visit the special room - Not even as a marble statue, could Nao save Michan from that visit.

It sting again in her bones. When Nao stands up, to grab her sports uniform, her knees ache from —something. Maybe Ma or Pa — she doesn't know why she still thinks about it. Doesn't matter. She has to go out on the field, with the rest of the class; for some type of test. Nao Changes in the bathroom - even if it's small and makes something ache a little more when she turns in the narrowed space - Because cracks can, and should always, be hidden. Nao knows that.

The green haired boy - Midoriya- is mumbling again. It's a little weird, and Nao turn a deaf ear on it. She observes the students, their quirks. She memorize the important details.

(Nao wonders if — if she would be the reason for their downfall. If she would crumble their dreams, their hopes of becoming heroes. Nao knows it's bad, and underserving for the students, but she has to. If she doesn't, who knows what will happen with Michan. Nao can be a marble statue, and she can handle the special room, but Michan can't. Michan is sick. Sick because of her quirk. Mind manipulation. It's to strong for Michans body, and Nao helps her. She tries. She buys medication from pier, on the corner of the bad part of town, even though it's not the best. It's something, and something helps Michan a little)

Nao does good on the test. Thanks to her new quirk, heat waves, she have gotten from All for One. ( Ma says the only reason she got it, was because of her and Pa. Nao believes her. All for One is a powerful man afterall, and he doesn't just give) She places on the seventh place, just like she wanted. Not to bad, and not to good, something in between. She have to be discrete, but reasonable strong. A thin line. A thin thin line, drawn to not attract unnecessary attention.

A boy, Bakugo, with ash blond hair and ruby eyes stand in front of Nao. He narrows his red eyes at her, and something between a scowl and sneer is etched into his face - Almost like how a red number is etched onto Naos hip. Number 9. It means suffering. And Ma told Nao, that what she gets. So she burned it in, with fire and hot iron, and it sizzled and smelled like something bad. Now number 9 is placed onto Naos hip. It all happened in the special room.

For those who are confused with some things, I'm explaining some of them.

Naoko actually is a kanji for submissive child.

Nao has two quirks now, if anyone was confused; She has her original quirk, which I haven't revealed yet but I assure you it's good, and her new quirk. Her new quirk Heat Waves creates waves of heat; The waves can melt things, take almost a materialistic appearance, and be used to boost things. Nao for example used it to boost herself in the quirk test, gain speed, ball throw, step to step. It's a good quirk, but she have only had it for a little year or so, because All for One gave it to her. If anyone was confused, he gave it partly because her parents asked him for a favour(they have great influence in the under world) and because it's also Shigarakis plan, and he always supports Shigaraki.

Michan quirk Mind Manipulation, is like Shinso brainwashing, but much more powerfull. However, she can't use it, because it's to strong for her. She will die if she uses it, and not even Ma and Pa force her to; Even though it's powerfull. Buuut, that doesn't mean they intend not to in the future. And Nao doesn't give her drugs, it's really medication to weaken her quirk. Michan real name is Ayumi in case you forgot.

And in Japan 9 does stand for suffering, and Japanese people try to avoid it as much as possible.
