𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘅

The next morning you notice Tyler sneaking after Mason as he goes for a run, Tyler comes back and grabs your arm and takes you into the kitchen where mason can't hear

"I followed Mason" Tyler says

"I know, I saw" you say

"Let me finish" Tyler says "he went into the old Lockwood cellar but then came out straight away so I went in after him"

You nod waiting for Tyler to continue

"There are chains and scratch marks like from nails" Tyler says

"What?" You say

"Yeah that's what I thought but I honestly have no clue what I saw" Tyler says

"Well we will figure out don't worry" you say walking away

"IM THROWING A PARTY AT THE SWIMMING HOLE TONIGHT SO TELL ALL YOUE FRIENDS!" Tyler shouts as you walk away

"Alright"

Later that day you get to the swimming while and it's quite empty because you are there first with the kegs, your wearing a bikini but you have denim in shorts on aswell

"What's your uncle doing here?" Matt says to you

You sigh and walk over to him "you busting us, or you joining us?"

"Neither. You make sure everyone's out of here by dark" Mason says

"What happens after dark?" You ask

"Someone ends up wasted and dead at the bottom of the lake" Mason says

You laugh but mason face doesn't change "you know the family's liable if anything happens"

"Okay okay just don't be a party-killer" you say

"Hey, I didn't say to stop partying. I said to take it somewhere else" Mason says

"Alright, we'll be out of here don't worry" you say walking back as Mason drives away

The party was good abit boring but it was good to be out the house, it got really late and you start telling people to leave

"Come on, guys. Sophia wants us out of here"

"We gotta move the party"

Everyone moves the party to somewhere else and you are left to clean up everything and you realise it's a full moon, you look at it for awhile until you snap back and get all the stuff. You had noticed that Tyler took a girl into the woods but you didn't care

You heard a scream in the woods so you run over to it and you see a werewolf on top of Caroline, Tyler was standing there as you gasp and look at Stefan

"NO!" You shout at the werewolf, it gets off Caroline and looks at you with fear in its eyes and it runs away

Stefan looks at you confused as Tyler helps Caroline up. After everything calmed down you walk back and you saw your uncle mason's car with a smashed back window, you look inside and find his clothes and you pick them up

Your turn around and find your uncle Mason standing there naked and Tyler walks next to you

"Ew" you say covering your eyes with your hand

"Can you pass me them" Mason says covered in mud

Tyler takes the clothes out of your hand and throws them over to Mason

"It was you, wasn't it?" Tyler says

You look over at Tyler confused but then it hits you, the werewolf was mason, you look over at mason and he just nods

The next day mason has a barbecue at elena's house but he has been dodging you and Tyler

"Hey uncle mason, you got a second?" You ask just as Mason is about to walk out the door

"No sorry, barbecue at Jenna sommers' house" mason says

"Come on man give me two minutes alright? You can't keep dodging us forever" Tyler says

"I freaking out over here" you add

"What do you want me to say guys... yes I turn into a wolf no, it's not gonna happen to you" mason says

"How do you know that" Tyler says

"Because you guys aren't gonna trigger the curse, your dad didn't know about this, neither did I until it happened" Mason says

"How does it get triggered?" You ask

"Ignorance is bliss, trust me" mason says

"You blow back into town with some supernatural family secret and you expect us not to ask questions?" Tyler says

"I can't say anything more. Sorry guys. It's better better for you if I don't" mason says

You sigh and mason begins to walk towards the door again just as Tyler says "you ever find that moonstone?" You give Tyler a glare but he doesn't look at you

"Do you know where it is?" Mason asks

"What's so special about it?" You say

"I told you, it was my mom's it's sentimental" mason says

You nod your head "yeah okay"

"Forget about it, forget I even brought it up, alright?" Mason says opening the door "I'll see you later" he closes the door

Tyler then takes out the moonstone from his pocket and he looks at you and walks away. Your left standing there alone and you sigh and go for a run

Later that night mason comes home

"How was that barbecue?" You ask

"Not great, you guys still pissed" mason says to you and Tyler

"You still keeping secrets?" Tyler says

"Yep"

"Then we're still pissed" you say

Tyler then stands up and starts to follow mason "hey you know I was thinking about that stone you were looking for, I might know a couple places it could be" he says

"Do you think this is a joke?" Mason say getting angry "if you know where it is tell me"

"Tell me how the curse is triggered" Tyler says crossing his arms

"I would like to know too" you say smirking

"Well If I tell you, you won't think about anything else, and I don't what that for you two" mason says

"I think we can handle knowing" you say

"You think you can handle it, you have no idea" mason says

"Do you want your stupid rock or not?" Tyler says as mason grabs him and pushes him to wall

"Guys" you say softly

"Tell me" mason says

"What triggers the curse?" Tyler says

"You have to kill somebody! Human blood. You take another person's life away from them, the curse is yours forever" mason says

You don't know what do say but then mason turns to you "can you handle that?"
