Southampton Airport (SOU), United Kingdom 7:47 am.
Shit. It's so cold in this bitch.
Jaylah walks out of the airport while wearing her white but worn-out robust sneakers, grey sweatpants, a loose long-sleeved royal blue crop top showing her defined abs, her black wavy hair loose and blown by the cold air of the UK. With a simple backpack, hand luggage, and a single suitcase she waits for a middle-aged woman by the name of Mrs. Grace.
She is going to be staying with Mrs.Grace and her daughter for the next two years until she finishes studying at the university she applied to. As she excelled in the majority of the subjects at the University of Panama, she succeeds to be accepted into the Westminster University College of London, in that case, she was able to complete two years, so she has two more years to complete.
Hope this woman doesn't look like it in the movies.
Mrs. Grace looks approximately in her late 40s, dressed in a long beige coat, and beneath she wears a light green dress below the knee and dark brown low heels; her eyes are blue and her hair is dark blonde. She looks delighted as soon as watching Jaylah walk past the entrance door of the airport.
"Oh, Jay-.. Jaylah, isn't it?"
"Jaylah. Yes, Mrs. Grace. Nice to finally meet you in person."
"Oh! Nice to meet you, dear. I hope my home feels enjoyable enough for you."
"I would appreciate however your home is, Mrs. Grace. Thanks for letting me stay with you."
"Please, Jaylah. Call me, Kathy. I also hope my daughter and you get along."
"I'll try my best to not bother none of you."
"Bollocks!" Kathy laughs. "Even if there are only two of us, we could have one more at home."
Once the luggage is in the car trunk and both are on the way to the city, Jaylah starts admiring the view.
All I can feel is non-reggaeton songs, cold, and wine.
The vibes and space were totally different from what she was used to seeing back in her country. The people, the weather, the stores, and even the streets, were even and spotless.
As they drove the long drive home, they talked for an hour about the difference in weather, a bit of politics; they passed near the stop where Jaylah would take the bus to college. Also about Wendy, Kathy's daughter used to be at the same university Jaylah is attending.
She still lives with her mother even when having a job as a journalist, it was difficult to move as she had to build her own wealth little by little. Shortly after, Jaylah took advantage of the trip to take a short nap, who would say that her fatigue would lead her to a deep sleep where the only thing she could see was a dark space.
