Kou, Nene, and Hanako are cleaning the bathrooms. More specifically, Kou is cleaning, Hanako is sitting on the window sill, and Nene is complaining.

"Hanako-kun, please let me go hoooome!" She whined. Hanako sighed.

"Nope, not gonna happen."

"Hey, Senpai," Kou leaned towards Nene and lowered his voice. "If you had to pick, would you rather clean the toilets every day for the rest of your life, or marry our ghost friend over there?" Kou gestured to Hanako, who was pretending not to pay attention.

"Umm, I don't like cleaning bathrooms, but Hanako-kun's Hanako-kun." Nene paused, thinking. "But getting married would mean . . ." She leaned forward and whispered in her friend's ear. "I'd rather marry Hanako-kun." She blushed and leaned back.

Suddenly, a face appeared in front of her. Hanako was floating upside down. "Hi!" Nene stumbled back, still blushing.

"Oh, ah, Hanako-kun! Hi! Umm, yeah--"

"We're getting married!"

Nene stared at him. "What."

"You said so! Don't worry, I'll handle all the preparations." He floated towards the door, deep in thought. "I'll need to talk to Yako-san and Tsuchigomori . . . Location? My bathroom, duh! I'll get Shijima-san to make some decorations . . .

Hanako finally left, leaving Nene and Kou shocked.

"S-senpai . . . you're getting married?" Kou asked tentatively.

"N-no! Of course not! This is a mistake! Definitely--"

"Are you sure? Hanako looked pretty serious." Blush crept up Nene's cheeks.

"Yes, I'm sure!" She hurried out of the bathroom, racing for Tschigomori's classroom.

~~~~~~
". . . asked the girl herself?" Tsuchigomori was asking Hanako. Hanako beamed.
"Actually, she suggested it." Hanako grinned. Nene ran into the office.
"Hanako, stop!" He didn't notice, prattling on about wedding details.
"You'll perform the ceremony, right, Tsuchigomori? I couldn't have anyone else do it besides you!" His past teacher blinked.
"You want me to be the marriage officiant for a wedding between a first-year in high school and a ghost, and it's happening in a haunted bathroom?" he asked in disbelief. Hanako floated to his assistant and placed an arm around her waist.
"Yep! That's right!" He grinned. Tsuchigomori sighed.
"Alright, just answer one question for me, and do it truthfully." He said.
"Sure." Hanako agreed. Tsuchigomori nodded.
"Have you two actually kissed yet?" Blush spread down Nene's cheeks.
"N-n--" She tried to answer.
"We're saving our first one for our wedding day!" Hanako sighed dreamily, pulling his assistant closer to him.
"N-no, we're not, because we're not getting--" Nene started.
"Really? I mean, if you really want . . ." Turning her head in surprise, Hanako leaned closer to her.
"Eek!" Nene jumped away, closing her eyes and waving her arms around. "No, stop, we're not getting married! Give it up, Hanako-kun, it's not happening! I'm serious, I won't do it!" Silence.
Nene slowly opened her eyes, her stance ready to retaliate.
Hanako wasn't floating anymore. He stood, a few feet away, staring at her. His expression was neutral, but his eyes . . . they looked hurt.
"I . . . I'll see you . . . later . . ." Hanako floated through the ceiling.
"Hanako-kun . . ." Nene looked at Tsuchigomori. "What . . ."
"Go talk to him." He sighed. "But don't agree to marry him next time. He'll get too excited." Blush spread up Nene's cheeks.
"I-I didn't--"
"Go." The teacher gestured with his hands, making it clear that she had overstayed her welcome. Nene raced off.
~~~~~~~~~~

"Hanako-kun?" Nene asked, stepping into the bathroom. It was empty. "Hanako-kun . . ." Nene smiled internally, knowing her friend too well. "I wish you were here, Hanako-kun, so I could tell you I'm sorry. Look, it's too early for any of that stuff." She sighed for effect and leaned against one stall. "But I . . . I miss you when you're not around. And I like it when you come to my class, and braid my hair. And I like when you say my name. And even when you call me a daikon--" she sighed "-- I like hearing your voice. I like how you make jokes, even if they aren't funny. I like it when you joke with Kou, and when you protect me from other supernaturals. I like how your eyes shine when it's dark, and I like your hair. I like your height. I like . . . I . . . I like everything about you." She blushed, realizing it was all true. "I like you, Hanako-kun." Nene took a deep breath. "I really like you, Hanako."

A pair of wide, upside-down amber eyes appeared in front of her vision. "Y-you do?" Hanako was floating, upside down, above her.

"Yeah," Nene said, flushing pink. "B-but I'm not going to get married today."

"Okay," Hanako considered it. "How does tomorrow work?" Nene raised a hand to slap him. "Alright, alright, kidding!" He grinned. "Hey, Yashiro."

"Yeah?" She asked quietly.

"I really like you too." He leaned forward and kissed Nene.

When he pulled away, she was blushing.

"Wow, you're red for a daikon!" He laughed. Raising a fist, Nene chased after the ghost, laughing themselves silly.
