Character Three: Heart Beat
SHE SHUT the car door walking to the cute flower shop that her grandmother once owned before she passed. it went on to a young man and woman who probably now have kids. she opened the glass doors to be met with the smell of fresh flowers and colors all over the place. they really updated the place since she was last here.
she walked over to the counter to be met with a young woman. "hi I'm Lea! how can I help you?" Lea said. "oh I just want a bouquet of pink Asters please." Mylee said. the woman nodded her head and started with the bouquet. Mylee looked around while waiting.
she remembered working in a flower shop that was similar before she went to college. she heard a familiar voice and she thought hard before it clicked in her mind that it was Huening Kai's voice. "don't worry about money I promise we got this." he said hope laced his voice with a hint of sadness.
"we can't pay the bills, we can't keep doing this." she heard a muscular voice say. guessing that it was his father. she made her way to the voices making her stand in front of the male that has lived in her mind since she met him.
"I'm sorry but I couldn't help but to overhear and well my grandmother Diana owned this flower shop before you and if you need help paying the bills I would help." she said looking over at the Huening Kai's parents. "oh honey , we couldn't let you do that." Huening Kai's mother said.
"oh I don't mind it, I know my grandmother would want me to help out since she was always fawning over this family." she said walking over to the parents sitting enough money to pay a few bills and made eye contact with Huening Kai before walking away and paying for the bouquet.
she kneeled down placing the bouquet of flowers softly on her grandmother's grave. "I'm sorry for not visiting more often." she whispered. as she stood up and watered the other plants that were there from the other visits. she was lucky that the water bucket was in the truck of her car. something she must have forgotten about.
she grabbed her journal going back to months ago from where she left off. she would write letters to her grandmother and come to her grave as often as she could reading them out to her grandmother.
she shut her car door going through her cd's before her eyes landed on her favorite one the studio album "21" by Adele. the cd's was something else she forgot about. tapping her finger the rhythm of the beat as the songs played.

she opened the glass doors to the nice small cafe. the cafe she would always spend time out at every time she came to this town. the smell of coffee as well as other hot beverages. the sound of unknown musicians is one of the reasons why she loved coming here.
she walked to the cashier and ordered her regular. "so what song is Ms. Lee is going to play for us this evening?" Anna said the cashier that is always working here. "It's a surprise but I know you're going to love it." she replied. "I always love your singing I see success heading your way Ms. Lee." Mylee lightly chuckled in reply. "I hope you're right."
she played the song "Rumor has it" by Adele. watching the cashier clap as she got off the small stage. she heard a voice singing she whipped her head around to see Huening Kai sitting on the stage wearing a regular hoodie and jeans. but somehow caught all attention in the room with just a simple outfit.
a guitar in his hands singing to "In my blood" by Shawn Mendes. he was an inspiring musician. you smiled listening to his nice voice.
"so when did you get into music?" she asked before taking a sip of her coffee. "my father was actually a musician and I always wanted to become one since I was younger." Huening Kai replied, stopping his tracks once he got to her car.
they stared at each other for a little before both of them started to blush. looking around from each other. he took her face in his warm hands making short eye contact with her. she felt her heart beating miles per hour she thought that he could probably hear her heart beat and her breath picked up. he leaned in and kissed her nose. she scrunched her nose smiling up at the taller male. "your cute." she mumbled before saying their goodbyes.
turning on the static radio in her car while driving on the empty road. holding her phone to her ear calling her mother.
I'm sorry I'm currently busy and can't reach the phone right now but call back or leave a voicemail and I will call you back.
*beep*
"hey mom I just wanted to tell you I'm fine and I promise I will be back soon like I mentioned in the letter...and please don't get scared and call the police I'm fine I'm great actually...I miss you call me back when you get this I love you."
