Neymar's POV
"Are you sure about this?" I say as I move one hand through my styled hair.
It's quite strange to return to the training after such a long time but I just wasn't ready enough to face Marc again, the guy who kissed my girl. Dani and Gerard somehow convinced me during a long conversation that I should really make up with him, otherwise it's going to end up even uglier than it already is.
"Very" Dani replies and pats me onto the shoulder as we reach the training grounds, slowing down a bit.
"What if-"
"Just do it!" my best friend interrupts me, causing me to laugh.
We approach the little group that has already formed in the middle of the green field I've actually missed in the past days. The guys seem to notice us before we are even halfway there. I see smiles on Leo, Gerard and Jordi's faces but Marc and Sergi have their backs turned to us, not even wanting to glance at us once.
That's going to be tough.
"Hey guys" Dani and I say in sync as we finally reach them, fistbumping anyone except of Marc who stands awkwardly besides us and watches the scene as he pretends to message somebody.
"Mate"
He looks up to face me, his eyebrows knitted together as he locks his mobile.
"What's up?" Marc asks almost casually and I can't help but notice that his shoulder is bandaged.
"Can we... talk?"
It sounds really awkward coming out of my mouth, especially to the guy I detest most at the moment. Marc nods lightly and points over to the stands.
"Let's sit down, yeah?"
To be honest, he isn't even unfriendly or somebody who always wants to be the best and greatest but Ally kind of destroyed the good atmosphere we were living in.
"I want to apologize for hitting you but I freaked out when I heard you" I clear my throat, "kissed her"
Marc sighs and rubs his hands, sitting down at the stands and looking up to me.
"I am sorry for making your nose bleeding but I just couldn't believe that you behaved like you were the only one who cared about her when you are not"
His honestly causes old memories to cross my mind again, things I'd really like to forget about; her hooking up with Marc, her kissing Erik...
"I'm trying to win her back at the moment" I confess openly after a brief silence fell over us which felt pretty uncomfortable, at least for me.
"That's cool" Marc stares down at his hands again after exhaling hardly.
"Do you still have feelings for her?"
The words escaped my mouth before I can even think about if they might affect Marc's and my conversation badly but he simply forces a laugh as his eyes wander up to me again.
"I do but does it matter?"
I open my mouth to say something but Marc speaks up before I can even start my sentence.
"No, it doesn't because she still only got eyes for you and no matter how hard I would try, she would still choose you over me"
The bitterness of his voice makes me realize once again how much Marc cares for her and how much he would do to be the one holding her in his arms and calm her down whenever she's upset.
He deserves her more than I ever would...
"Are you okay with me trying to make her mine again?" I ask carefully, not wanting to make him even more mad than he already is.
