"Sweetheart! Guess who's here!" My mother cheered from downstairs.
"Mr.Cookie!" I screamed while running down stair to jump I'm his arms. He was standing by the door. With a big smile on his face. He had on his playtime shirt so it was clear he was here for me.
"Hey there princess how are ya." He asked me while spinning around in a circle. My small legs were flying all over the place and the room was filling up with laughs and giggles.
"What are we gonna play today cookie?" I asked while trying to squirm out of his hold. He got the hint and set me on the floor.
"Well, we could play princess or house. Whatever you want to play baby, alright?" He ruffled my hair. I blew the extra strands of hair out of my face and pouted.
"But, I want you to choose. You always play what I play." I crossed my arms across my chest.
He sighed. "Alright, but first I need to talk to your mommy. Why don't you go upstairs and go put on your play clothes." He gently put his hand on my back and pushed me toward the stairs.
I ran up the stairs as fast as I could. I almost fell a couple of times. I looked through my dressers trying to find my clothes. They were just some shorts with a shirt with paint stains on it from a few weeks ago. Me and Cookie were playing with paint. Making little pictures and painting each others faces.
Once I put on my play clothes I walked down the stairs since I didn't want to fall.
"I don't wanna see your face again." I hear my mom scream.
"Like hell you selfish bitch. What happened we were the best of friends." She's yelling at Cookie...
"It was until I realized my mistake. I don't want you here." Then there was a slap.
"You slapped me." Cookies said in a low voice. He's scary when he's mad. I better do something. I don't like the yelling. Mom and Dad do that enough. And it is to much. And I love Cookie.
"Mommy! I ready for play time!" I yelled running into the kitchen. Cookie was holding his cheek and mommy's face was red.
"There's no play time today sweetie. Go upstairs and read your books daddy gave you." She pushed me towards the door.
" But mommy...- No butts young lady go upstairs now!" She pointed to the stairs with her hand on her hip.
My bottom lip poked out while I tried to keep the tears from falling from my eyes. I turned around and walked away. "See you later Cookie." I turned and looked at him.
"See you later babes. We'll have play time another day. I love you, okay." He smiled at me.
" Hun. Upstairs. Now." I put my head down and walked away.
I didn't go upstairs though. I stayed on the stairs and sat down.
" You shouldn't have told her that ya know. She will never see you again. She will be happy without you. Especially after what you did to me. To us you nasty basturd." My mom walked away with a scowl on her face. And Cookie just laughed. It was the type of laughter that you would be scared about.
"I'm not the nasty one here. Your the one ruining your marriage. Yeah, I know you sleep around. You were so drunk one night when you came home. You even tried to sleep with me. I mean who wouldn't." Cookie walked towards my mother and sat down next to her. " No offense T but, you're not my type. I'm more into brunettes but, you knew that already. Anyway, back on track. I don't think you want David to hear about this, eh? How sad would he be. How much will it break his heart. Not only his, but Anne's heart too. I want you to think about that. I'll see ya later T."
And with those last words he left out the door with my mom crying on the floor. Never to be seen again.....
