After a forty-five minute drive in so many different directions the car pulled up into an impressively long drive way. The bends and turns we had taken on our journey here made me question if Kyro had instructed the driver to ensure I couldn't possibly memorise it. At the top of the drive, was a glorious fountain spurting water in four different directions, mesmerising the eyes of those who looked upon it. The fountain was encircled by statement cars with the sole purpose of turning heads in the street, establishing the owners as unimaginably rich without saying a word. However, the potential appreciation the cars could have collected where diminished by the building beyond them. A stately Manor that once upon a time may have been the home to the lord of the land stood impressively, its striking brick work and windows indicating the clear wealth of the owner. From the flowers decorating the stairs, to the butler and staff waiting at the door to great the gests, everything screamed power and money. Whoever resided in this establishment had a reputation be it in the public eye or only amongst the elite. Sparing a glance at Kyro the question became apparent, who was he? How did he have his own wing at Eden, how did he know someone who would own this building, how was he able to demand respect and attention from those he wasn't even aware of their presence. Who was this man I supposedly now belonged to?
I was pulled from my thoughts by a voice I had not heard before.
"Master Thomson" the butler at the top of the stairs called upon seeing us exit the car. "His Lavishness has been besotted with excitement since you confirmed your intentions to attend tonight"
Silently looking at the man, I tried to shake the feeling that I don't belong. Never having been in a place more affluent than marks and spencer's, I felt completely out of my depths. How could I prepare for what was to come with the owner of this impressive establishment using the title 'His Lavishness'.
"Paul how great to see you." Kyro stated pulling the butler into a bear hug, the shocked expression on Pauls face was mirrored by my own. Him shocked at the inappropriateness of the interaction given the difference in their social ranks, mine at seeing a genuine smile on Kyro's face. Who was Paul to him, he had to be more than just a friends help.
Flustered Paul patted Kyro's back before backing away from the hug and indicating for him to follow one of the server girls into the house. His eyes trailed to me and the shocked expression reaffirmed itself on his face, before nodding and turning to the next guests to cover his shocked expression.
Kyro pulled me to his side, placing an arm around the small of my back to guide me to the main room of the house. From an outward perspective the move may have been seen as romantic, but it was clear upon closer examination Kyro had no time for her to be dawdling and required guidance to keep. Whilst he directed my body, my eyes where distracted by the elegant details on the walls, and the decorative sculptures displayed on tables and shelves. I became aware of Kyro's eyes examining my face, but I brushed it off, allowing myself to be directed to an unknown place, taking in as much of the beauty of the house as possible. My plans of focusing on details of an escape plan temporarily forgotten.
As we entered what looked like a library build for entertainment, I was pulled from my distracted glances, to a small man sat in a leather chair. The man looked of average build and height, and with good looking features and a Cheshire smile exposing teeth so white they almost produced their own light. While his smile directed at Kyro's entrance was eye catching, it paled in comparison to the deep pink velvet suite he was adorning. In a room full of clearly powerful men all wearing black or blue suits, the pink of this mans suite was as much a statement of fashion as it was of power. He didn't need to fit into the depicted norms of power, he had enough wealth to silence any questionable glances. It was clear without any introduction needed that this was 'His Lavishness'.
