Lloyd raced down the hall, twisting and turning so his uncle couldn't follow him.

"Lloyd," a strange voice suddenly cooed.

Lloyd felt a tug at his chest and he skidded to a halt. He gazed around warily, senses alert for any sign of a ninja.

But there was no one around.

Shrugging, Lloyd was about to head forward again when the tug at his chest pulled again more harshly. Grunting, he looked around again and found his gaze locking on a sword hanging on the wall. Its blade shone eerily as it hung there, completely drawing Lloyd's attention away from anything else. As if in some sort of dream, the green ninja glided toward the sword, feeling as if the weapon was calling to him. He halted in front of it and observed the shiny silver handle, a deep purple gem encrusted into it. He felt his blood rise and he snatched the sword off the wall without a second thought. He let out a soft gasp as it fell into his fingers perfectly.

Then with a shake of his head, Lloyd broke out of the spell. Getting his senses again, he inspected the sword's large blade and smirked. This will teach the ninja not to mess with me!

Chuckling to himself, he began to race down the hall again.

He stopped as he reached a series of doors. The ninja could be in any of them, he thought. Shrugging, he burst through the first one.

He looked around.

It seemed empty.

Cautiously moving forward, Lloyd reached the blue bed. This must be the blue one's room, he figured. Lifting the sword, he sliced the blanket on top of the bed in half.

"Mwahahahaha!" he cackled to himself.

Nodding with approval, Lloyd turned and exited the room. Scanning the doors again, he kicked down the second one and ran inside.

"Lloyd!"

Lloyd turned to see the red ninja rushing over to him. He gripped the sword tighter and closed the bedroom door. Kai.

"Whoa!" Kai exclaimed, eyes shining with joy. "You're alive! But Sensei said that—"

"I don't listen to what 'Sensei' says," Lloyd snapped. "Why are you sooo happy to see me anyway?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" Kai laughed. Then he looked down at Lloyd's sword. "Cool sword! Where'd you get it?"

Lloyd raised an eyebrow. "Trust me, you won't think it's cool once I do this."

Kai blinked. "Do what?"

Without a word, Lloyd lifted the sword and sliced Kai's stomach open.

Blood splattered onto the ground.

Kai gasped and fell to his knees, clutching his wounded stomach. Pain overwhelmed him. Through gritted teeth, he choked out, "what was that for?"

Lloyd looked down at his victim triumphantly. "Revenge."

Kai opened his mouth, but a moan came out instead of words. Hissing with pain, he lowered his head and wrapped his arms around his belly.

Satisfied with the ninja's pain, Lloyd gave Kai a harsh kick that sent him tumbling across the room. "That's what you get for disrespecting Lloyd Garmadon!"

Breathing heavily, Kai leaned against the wall to heave himself upward. His legs felt shaky underneath him and his senses clouded with pain. He had no idea what had gotten into Lloyd, but he knew he had to defend himself. He drew out his own sword as Lloyd stalked toward him.
