I bought Emma a lot of stuff today. I was so happy to seeh how happy she was though she was constantly telling me that I shouldn't be spending so much on her. She was one of those people that didn't want to be like parasites.
After we shopped, we bought milkshakes and talked about what we were going to do for the summer. Emma had to get a job. So while she's working all day, I guess I'd have to busy myself at the country club or something because I have nothing to do around the house. Maybe I'll get a job too. It was just july so I had the whole summer ahead of me.
After I dropped Emma off at her house, I headed home. I noticed the black van was still parked in my driveway. I wonder which air-headed actor my father had to deal with that afternoon or which pop singer with freaky wigs. I laughed. People these days.
I went inside. It wa s only four so they would probably be here a little while longer. I walked into the living room and towards the stairs ignoring my father and his clients while they worked. As I was about to go up the stairs, I heard my dad call me by my full name. This must not be good then.
"Victoria Rebecca Evans!"
I sighed and turned around. "Yes, Dad."
"I want you to meet some very special people," he said running his hand through his salt and pepper hair. My dad was quite handsome and I can see what my mom fell for back when she was young. Unfortunately she died right after I was born.
My dad gestured to the five boys sitting in the living room. One had blond hair biut you could see his brown hair growing at the roots. The one sitting beside him was cute with a head of curly brown hair. Another had straight hair and was wearing suspenders. Who wears those these days? But I had to admit that he made it look fashionable. The other two were the same black-haired guy from this morning and a guy with brown hair in a buzz cut. They were all pretty good looking.
"Hi," I said and turned and walked away.
"Vikky, that's no way to treat guests," my dad called, sounding embarrassed. I turned and walked back to the living room.
I wondered what was so special about them. My dad never introduced me to other celebrities before.
"Well, aren't you going to introduce yourself?" my dad asked.
"I'm Tori," I said looking at them. They looked expectant like they were waiting for something. "Well, since they won't introduce themselves, I guess I'll be going then," I said to my father.
"So you don't know who they are?" my dad asked.
"No," I replied.
"Have you heard of One Direction?"
"Oh," I said and turned to face the boys, "So you're the guys that turned all the girls at my school into obsessive fangirls. Hmm, interesting. I didn't catch your names," I said.
"I'm Zayn," Iheard the black-haired boy say with a smile. Wow . MMy heart did flip-flops in my chest, something that never happened to me before. I soon learned their names. Blondie was Niall, suspender-boy was Louis, curly was Harry and buzz-boy was Liam. I laughed at the nicknames I gave them in my head.
"So, I'll be off then," I said.
"Wait, I have something to tell you," my dad called after me.
"Dad, I'm tired . I've been shoppin most of the day," I said.
He just laughed and said, "You'll just have to find out on your own then."
I laughed. He was up to something.
I went to my room. I was so tired. I decided to take a nap.
