Minghao was a young alpha in his teenage years when he first arrived at Pledis. May not believe it or not, he never believed in soulmates, told by his parents that they were extremely rare in this world. He always thought it was fairy tale and typical folklore for romance until he met a tall omega. The stranger must had confused him as an old friend back in China he assumed, speaking in their mother's tongue.

An eventful impression Minghao must say. The boy  had braces back then, spitting all over his face uncontrollably, but it wasn't that bad, right? But the main thing he couldn't help ignore was that the taller smelled so, so depressed, in despair. And then the smell of peonies, why did it feel like it was home? Maybe the Chinese peonies he had back in his front yard trigged home, but no, it felt completely welcoming and relaxing, the alpha couldn't understand why. Maybe because the other was an omega?

An omega in despair, with his scent feeling nostalgic? Nonsense, it doesn't add up.

"Oh? When did you get piercings? That's new.." The taller rambles on. Then, the latter pulls his hat off and their eyes meet. The taller's eyes emitted a glow of silver and Minghao's vision flashed like a silver or gray hues in his eyes. When both parties' visions has returned normally, there's a new bond or fire that burns newly aflame inside them. That's when the omega drops the cap, lips trembling. There's a gush of decaying peonies before the omega runs away.

"Soulmate." It was barely a whisper, almost like thin air. He doesn't understand what the fuck is going on, but he proceeds to walk down into the halls after talking to one of the stand byer or staff that had witnessed the incident. His brows furrowed in confusion as he repeats what the staff had told him.

"You just found your soulmate, must have been in sheer luck to have the same passion and dreams. You're both in a debuting team called Seventeen..."

So soulmates did exist to his conclusion. How fascinating. But he couldn't ignore the scent- that painful and mourning scent the omega had. What had brought such sadness and hurt towards this man? Minghao wants to understand everything.

So he found out his soulmate's name is Wen Junhui. He couldn't help but think it was a beautiful name.

Despite being soulmates however, Minghao wanted to focus on his dream career and debut as a performing artist. This all meant teamwork and communication.

He let things happen naturally, becoming friends with everyone and especially Junhui. Finding out Seokmin and Mingyu are his age wasn't too surprising, but he's glad to know that they're easily and fairly compatible with a lot of things in relation.

He's been in the team for two months and he's grown fond of everyone, at the moment, laughing alongside the two when Seokmin decided to try to make cartoon impressions of their childhood shows. Settling down, there's been a question that's recently been poking at the Chinese alpha.

"Hey," The two look at him, all ears opened. "Why does Junhui Ge smell so sad?" Their face falls into fear and suddenly smelling anxious. Maybe it's rude to ask, but he's so curious and his alpha won't stop pestering about his soulmate that he must care for.

"I... I don't think we have the right to answer this..." Mingyu's eyes drift to the ground. Visibly gulping and smelling tangy.

"You can ask Seungcheol Hyung, I think he'd tell you. If not, he may guide you to Wonwoo Hyung or just go to Junhui Hyung." Seokmin suggests.

"What about my baby?" Jeonghan speaks, startling the 97z. They look and see that he's been seated next to the Chinese boy but when?

"Baby?" Minghao repeats.
