"Hello, Mother…" I grouched, bowing quickly before walking up to my silver throne. I realized the green seat indicating a male on my throne had been replaced with purple, and I sighed before sitting down.
"Sit up, and make your voice feminine. You went to voice training for years for a reason, Alexandra." My mom hissed. Suddenly the guards all pulled out trumpets and played the announcing song, and the large dark oak wood doors of the Throne room creaked open.
"Now Announcing, the Prince of Avreadal, Prince Jackson." One of the guards yelled over the trumpets.
A brunette boy wearing Red and blue royal clothing strutted in, smirking at me. He bowed before walking up the steps to the Throne and bowing again before me, taking one of my hands in his and kissing the top of my silk glove.
"Princess Alexandra, it is truly a pleasure to meet you. And uh, you too, her highness and his." Jackson winked at me before walking back down the steps and slouching into a seat at one of the long wooden tables at one side of the room, the royal side. The trumpets started playing again and another boy walked in. He had jet black hair and cool grey eyes, and he adjusted his sleeves as he cooly sauntered in.
"Now Announcing, the Prince of Rosrutia, Prince Oliver!!" Another guard screamed over the trumpets.
Oliver gracefully approached the steps and walked up to my chair, Barely sparing me a glance.
"Your highness. A pleasure." He muttered, bowing quickly before nodding at my parents and sitting down at the Royal table. He intrigued me, and I observed him run his fingers through his hair before he caught my eye and tilted his head, raising an eyebrow. I smiled at him faintly like and idiot, and he rolled his eyes, crossing his arms and glaring at the table. Wow. So fuckin friendly, huh? I slouched, glaring down at my stupid shoes before my mother motioned for me to stand up and walk to the table. She remained seated while the kings and queens of the suitors walked in to say hi and further introduce themselves and their kids.
Obviously I sat down next to Oliver.
"Psst. Hey. Oliver." I kicked him lightly under the table, slouching to reach because of my height.(my feet barely touched the floor when I sat at the edge of the tall wooden chair. To be fair, tis a large chair.)
He turned sharply and looked my right in the eye, scowling.
"What?!" He hissed.
"I'm bored." I whined, laying my head down at the table.
He stared at me like I was a bright pink dancing banana before sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose.
"It's not my problem, Princess. By the way, you aren't acting very princessly at all. It's absolutely absurd. And even if you were acting nice, I'm nowhere near being interested in you. Sit up and act polite at least in front of the adults." He muttered, but he sounded like he was reading from a script.
"Boo. No fun." I sat up and pouted, kicking Oliver lightly under the table. Before he could react, Jackson slid his chair all the way down the table and stopped when he was right next to me.
"Hey princess, why don't you come hang out with me instead of this loser." he grinned, winking at me.
"Yes please Princess Alexandra, Go "hang" with Prince Chad. Go on. Go away." Oliver smirked at me, clearly relieved. I scrunched my nose up at Jackson trying to put his arm around me sneakily and scooted closer to Oliver, grossed out.
""Prince" Jackson, your parents are coming. Stop being a perv." I hissed, kicking him under the table. He rolled his eyes and scooted away slightly, and Oliver did the same. We all sat up and put on small fake smiles as Oliver and Jackson's parents sat down in front of us, and my parents sat down at the end of the table.
